Introduction to Posse Recruitment

Welcome to the Posse Recruitment section of RDN!

This forum was created to serve two key purposes:

- Provide posses a place to post their recruitment threads.
- Give users a place to post "free agent" threads.

If you're looking to hit up other posse members or just engage in some nonsensical banter, head over to the Posse Chat forum. Both established and unestablished posses have discussion threads there.

Recruitment Threads & Free Agent Threads

What's a Recruitment thread?
Recruitment threads typically cover all the need-to-know information of a particular posse, such as the organizational structure (member ranks and roles), rules & regulations, links to external posse sites and so on.

If you're looking to join a particular posse, this is definitely the way to go. :)

What's a Free Agent thread?
A free agent thread is posted by a user who wants to join a posse, but isn't looking at any posse in particular. It's a good way of testing the waters to see what sort of posses are out there.

Keep in mind that different posses have different recruitment practices. Some are very tight-knit and exclusive with their membership, while others are more casual and openly recruit as many players as possible.

Likewise, you may not get an immediate response to your free agent thread, so be patient. Wait a few days, post around the forums, link to your free agent thread from your signature.

The more you participate in the community, the more likely you are to be seen (and eventually scooped up)!

Required Tags & Naming Protocol for Posting Threads

When you post a new thread, we ask that you stick to a simple tag & name protocol to help keep the forum organized.

If you're posting a recruitment thread for a posse:

Posse Name [RECRUITMENT][PLATFORM]

Examples:
- Random Posse #1013 [Recruitment][Xbox 360]
- Obscure Gangsters [Recruitment][PS3]
- Miscellaneous Gunslingers [Recruitment][Xbox 360][PS3]

If you're posting a free agent thread:

Thread Title [LFP][PLATFORM]

(LFP stands for "Looking For Posse", obviously.)

Examples:
- I need a posse! [LFP][Xbox 360]
- Anyone need a gunner? [LFP][PS3]
- I'm multi-talented. [LFP][PS3][Xbox 360]

Why do we use tags, anyway?

By using tags, we make it easier for folks to find what they're looking for via search.

So, if you're a posse leader of a posse that plays on Xbox Live, you could search "[LFP], [Xbox 360]".

Likewise, if you're looking to join a posse that plays on the PlayStation Network, you could search "[Recruitment], [PS3]".
