I'd like to suggest that mods post in a thread before closing it. I just got a PM from a guy claiming that I had locked his thread, an action which I am incapable of committing.

Hello,

my personal opinion is that too many threads are closed/locked. What I think is that any posts in a common section such as MP General Discussion that has 0 replies and has been on for at least a week or so should be locked/closed/deleted to create more space. Also, if an argument unveils in a thread, the same should happen. I think also, there should be a more organised way of banning people. When people first join, the rules should be stated clearly, and then there should be categorized negative 'things'. So if someone wrote/did a minor offence  they get a small ban, and after a lot of minor offences they get a larger ban, and if they repeat this, they get permanently banned. I think on occasions bans are all too sudden. I also think there should be a few more priorities for organised clans. Such as more options for a private forum, such as being able to edit their own page as if it were their own editable website. So, yeah, that's my view. :)

I agree with most of this, but as of late I feel there have been some positive actions and results. It has to be difficult to moderate a forum like this, and appreciate the time and effort you all put towards keeping this a civil environment. Considering some of what xRDRxRECRUITMENTx suggested might be a good idea, and thanks for all your efforts. :charming:

Our current banning procedure is based on the 20 percentile increment increases. the larger your number gets the longer you will be banned, until you reach 100% and are banned indefinitely. As for the page editing, we usually do allow someone to be a led-by and edit their forum's topics and such, but not the aesthetics. This is Reddead.net, and our forum skin will be the default all over the place, you're simply not allowed to add more features unless you're an Administrator.

Actually Uno, i think its kinda dangerous to give Mod abilities to the Moderators for the Posse private forums thing, I saw the Ninja's Mods editing peoples Application posts and messed it up, I think this should only be given to people who can be trust

oh and I have no clue, But is MC a mod? I've seen him closing threads and etc..

OT: So Kryten or James can change Forum Skin, Emotes, Rules whenever they want?
I think only the creator (Andy) should have those Powers, But im not saying the other Admin's cant be trusted.
I've seen alot of hackers closing websites, and editing the shit outta them,
Might happen to this site...

True but tbh I've never seen gang leaders of established posses (RRR, MM, Bandits.. me ;) ) abusing their mod powers in their private forums. Can't say the same about the smaller gangs cause I hardly visit their forums.
Anyway I think that any abuse can and should be reported, no matter if it's done by a posse leader in their private forum.
The Mod abilities in private forums are very useful to gangs in order to organize those sections and I think it's a great feature of RDnet.
But I agree with UNO. The layout should stay the same,

I'm pretty sure Megan is a girl. Hank Sutter is just the name of one of the MP characters, and based on many of Hank Sutter's/Megan's posts, either she's a girl or he's really good at acting like a girl.

Sorry about the off topic post, y'all.

@lkk, thanks for the feedback and support.

@DocRikoski, you guys are doing a fine job, and the small time mod led-by's are indeed very important, as we mods and admins can't check every nook and cranny of the sections like you can. Though this also applies to every member, led-by or not. We always appreciate fast reports in useless or possibly flame-filled topics.

@Brian, James, Adamcs, Claydon and Kryten were hand-picked by Andy one way or another to oversee his sight when he can't be here himself. They're all more than ready to do the job of administration, which is why they all accepted it. Everyone here can rest easy knowing that their power will never go to their heads.

@xRDRxRECRUITMENTx, Just because a topic gets 0 replies doesn't mean it should be deleted or otherwise. Keeping the topic locked is good for future search reference. If an argument does occur in any of the topics, like I said before, we appreciate reports being made, fully.
