Zack Marston's post made me think of something.  I ate at Ted Montana's (a restaraunt in the US that serves buffalo burgers) today for lunch with my old boss, they waitress offered us the special of the day which was the "Buffalo Nachos & Buffalo Chips" appetizer.  All I could picture was a steaming pile of buffalo shit... I passed.

Ever heard the song "Brooklyn Roads" by Neil Diamond?

I was an Army brat and grew up a number of different places, last one being Chicago.

Actually, all I remember of that song is Neil Diamond having to go find his brother.

I frequently used to look out across the river to Manhattan, and hence I created the cliché.

I'm also a happy drunk. More importantly, I can hold my liquor; I can drink most people I know under the table. Must be that Irish and English heritage.

Trufax.

What do you like to drink?

If I drink beer my preference is always a wheat beer (unfiltered).  I also like maragaritas, mandatory with Mexican food, and whiskey (think I have 3 types tucked under the bar in my basement at the moment).  I keep a very good bottle of scotch on stand by for special occasions.

Cognac is a damn good beverage, too bad no one has ever heard of it. :D

I think kettle cooked lays potato chips are fucking tasty, but they hypnotise too many housewives into thinking it's healthy.

My favorite adult beverages are beers, for sure. I'm not terribly picky about what kind of beer, although I do very much love me some wheat variety. Guinness is probably my favorite dark beer. I sometimes drink Scotch, despite abhorring the taste of it. Scotch is BIG in my family and every holiday, the house hosting the festivities is absolutely loaded down with bottles of Scotch, wine, beer and champagne. There's more alcohol available than regular drinks - it gets kind of ridiculous. Good thing my relatives are also (for the most part) happy drunks as well.

Margaritas are quite lovely; I've become addicted to Jose Cuervo's margaritas in a bottle. I've only found them at one liquor store, but I'll stock up on them when I can. Awhile back, I suggested them to SICKRAGE and it seems he's become fond of them also, haha. I also go for the traditional boozed-up ice cream offerings of Mudslides and Tumbleweeds. Baileys and Kahlua make everything better. Rum and Coke is also an old favorite.

...Yeah, I guess there's a reason why I was chosen to down 'Irish Carbombs' to win bar t-shirts for people, lol.
