Season 7 seemed kinda weak. Littlefinger's death was just odd and completely out of character... The plot line of going north to capture a dead dude was clearly a side track to fill in the story, which would be fine, but it was sooo illogical. Tyrion, the man who has been pitted against Cersi from Episode 1, is suddenly convinced that she will accept a truce and not somehow betray them? His character has also lost its edge. He's just another lackey now... The season just felt like weak writing.

Also, either one or both of the writers are definitely into incest... 1 instance would add a bit of dynamics to the story, but 2 instances? Someone's living vicariously through this shit...

It's not surprising, the show no longer has the books to work off of.

Except for the incest. That is a part of what George R. R. Martin told the writers of the show about. So you have him to thank for that.
