I ordered the first 2 books a few days ago, I'm hooked on this series! I think there's 5 altogether?
Another good episode last night, I'm very impatient for the next one :P

This is seriously the best TV show based off a book series, ever.  I've read everything up until Feast for Crows and I've got to say that this will be greatest TV series for a looong time to come.  Epically when the war starts next season.

How many books are there? I hear the author is regarded as the J.R.R Tolkien of the US.

I've read up to the third book, I think there is 4 now. The author, even though he looks like Santa Claus and a crackhead had a baby has created something real special with this series.

And just so ya all know, don't expect any battles this season, just a lot of plot twists, plots, deception and muuurder.  You'll hate all the Lannisters as if each one was Hitler himself by the end.

Winters coming boys, hope your ready for it.

I ordered the first 4 books on Friday. Might get them during next week. 6-10 days delivery time so probably goes to the next week. But got them cheap so who cares. Only 30€ including shipping cost.

There are 4 book currently
- A Game of Thrones
- A Clash of Kings
- A Storm of Swords
- A Feast for Crows

But the fifth is released on July 12th. And that is called
- A Dance with Dragons

Quote

A Dance with Dragons is the fifth of seven planned novels in the epic fantasy series A Song of Ice and Fire by American author George R. R. Martin. On March 3, 2011, publisher Bantam Spectra announced that the novel would be released on July 12, 2011.[1] Martin officially finished the book April 27, 2011 by delivering the 1500+ page manuscript into the hands of book editor Anne Groell while completing it at her office in New York City.[4][5]

it was another good episode on monday :D
more plot based but the tension seems to be building quite nicely, i imagine  a full blown war by the finale. also there was an incredibly graphic jousting scene near the end that came as a genuine shock haha

has anyone got favourite characters yet?
i personally like the dwarf because of his amazing comebacks and wit :P

You guys are going to be crying when the season finale (only two episodes left btw) airs.   And like I said earlier don't expect any big battles until the second season which is already in the works.

Oh right, fav character:
Tyrion Lannister-He loves his whores and he loves proving peoples misconceptions about him wrong all the while overtly insulting them.

Aww man, it can't come soon enough. So likely out next year? Hopefully Season 2 of Boardwalk Empire and The Walking Dead will be out by the Fall to keep me occupied TV wise. :-/

I really enjoyed last weeks episode, it didn't move the plot on too much, but it's certainly whet my appetite for more. Looking forward to watching it tonight. Sean Bean was an awesome choice as lead for this I reckon!

I'd advise watching the first Episode first ;). The one that's on in five minutes is Episode 6.

Probably my favorite show on right now. I'm anticipating which major charatcer will die, as there's always one at the end of each season on shows like this. The villains are outstanding, they really do make you hate them! Hopefully Ned defeats the incestous Lannister freak family, and somebody kills that blonde little shit king

Show content for Hiden:
I hope Petyr Baelish the one who held the knife to Neds throat at the end of the last episode gets what's coming to him. Totally didn't expect the king to meet his end by the tusk of a Boar

Yea he's a sneaky little bastard. I'm curious to see more of the whitewalkers, with the opening of the first episode, I thought they would have a more prominant role, but it looks as though the rangers are in deep trouble.

Yeah, next week might be the last of the season, if Toke can confirm. I hope they are already planning/filming the next season. Best TV I've seen in a while.

Anyone know if this week is the finale? I'm expecting some crazy shit to go down. Will Ned escape? Will the daughter betray Ned? Will Jamie Lannister crush Rob's army? Will Tyrian really pick up a sword (or knife) and do battle? I seem to think his father wouldn't mind if anything happened to him...

Was anyone else expecting Ned to get beheaded? Totally didn't see it coming, I hope that little blonde bastard King gets what's coming to him

Last episode of the season tonight, well atleast for the EU. I'd imagine it's already aired in the US?
