Just started 33 A.D. by David McAfee.

Here's the description from Amazon.
Jerusalem, 33 A.D. The vampires of the era have long sought to gain a foothold into Israel, but the faith of the local Jewish population has held them in check for centuries.

When one of their own betrays them to follow a strange young rabbi from Galilee, the elders of the vampire race dispatch Theron, a nine hundred year old assassin, to kill them both.

The rabbi's name is Jesus. Killing him should be easy.
This sure beats milking cows!

Sounds like a great read but somehow I could perfectly picture that last sentence being read out loud by "The Voice". :)

I started reading The Clash of Civilizations by S. Huntington a while ago but I've been slacking on finishing it ever since. After that I wish to read a bit into some of the most classical works of Dickens such as a Tale of Two Cities.

Moved on to a book called Brave New Worlds.  It's an anthology of dystopian fiction short stories.  Dystopian and post-apocalyptic fiction are two of my favorite genres, along with horror and sci-fi.

If you're reading Huntington's book I sincerely advise you to read Amartya Sen's Identity and violence, the illusion of destiny. Says the exact opposite, in a way that we none of us are part of a single, predefined group as simple as black/white. In his opinion(and I concur), it's stormcrows such as Huntington that you should be wary for.

I'm reading the best ever book of the wild west,  its a junior book so my daughter and I can enjoy it.  :-)

However, does anyone have any suggestions for a good factual adult wild west book?

A very, very interesting read so far.

Is that the prequel to 'How to Lose Friends and Alienate People?
