Positive vibes - Sunshine Saloon
« on: June 21, 2011, 10:13:05 AM »
Here you can tell us about your little and big pleasures in life.
School, work, friends, vacation, food, drinks, hobbies, landscapes, art, RDR aso.
Feel free just to stop by for a chat - it's the easiest way for some positive vibes.
Please keep the tone at least neutral.
No pessism, bullying, trolling or sociopathic crap talk. Life is full oft that.
If you don't like it just move on.

I patted a very nice cat this morning (I am highly expert at this under-appreciated art). It was an old ginger, slightly rotund, and had a really lovely purr involving several different levels of delightful trilling:heart:

Thanks :).

You did? Scary.

Also, I need some more good vibes. They seem to be scarce where I am.

No, Uca, I am 41 and a hard working man. ;)
At the moment running out of test tubes and can't continue working. But I had a nice chat with a new student.

Fox, that's the deal with good vibes, they are rare and you need to be always open minded.

Byron, I am equally fond of dogs and cats. I love watching dogs just run around in parks. No body understands the freedom of open space better than a dog.

Great idea for a thread! I got a good vibe when I read OldBills post...I wasn't expecting that!
Also every morning (or afternoon) I wake up with my GF I get a good vibe :) Cheesy, I know.
I also get good vibes from helping new players find their feet in RDR MP.
Best thing of late however was getting my gf into RDR...she's in the friendly rooms now :D

I am the Picasso of that art - a child prodigy if you will. Many of the local cats will even follow me up and down the street, purring as the rub against/between my legs. It's like that scene from Snow White but, with cats. :O It's a nice feeling when winover a new cat, and they roll over and let you rub their tummies or, their chin.
To quote Mr. Ted Nugent: "Making pussies purr with the stroke of my hand" :p

I'm having good thoughts about planning a trip to Maui next year to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. We visited 12 years ago when my wife was 5 months pregnant with our son and have been longing to return. To hold my wife close as we watch the sun rise over Haleakala crater is vivid in my memory.

Edit: and in my photobucket!

Billy; I have actually similar reactions with dogs. Totally unknown dogs just follow me and jump up. Idk why.

Pug; you get your special Rauchbier seat here. ;)
Maui? That's nice. I only was once very short in Hawaii for a stopover.
Interesting, we are also together since 19 years next month.
Yeah, I enjoy sunrises much more than sunsets...
And your son doesn't play RDR?!

No, he mainly plays platformer type games. The only shooter he's liked was star wars battlefront.

We've got that in common then Billy. I call the moment when they totally surrender to the pleasure and roll over 'flopping'. Some cats 'auto-flop' as soon as they see me.

It can be a dangerous art, though. Some cats have an 'ambivalence point' where they get so lost in bliss they lash out with their claws. I suppose that's cat scratch fever ...

I've taken after Fisherman TWO's advice and started to invite randoms to my posses.  I look at the scoreboard at the end of the match and who ever is at the bottom, I'll pick 2 or three people to invite.  I did this last night and one guy who went really negative went positive the next match.

Gone are the days when I was in an 8 man posse "destroying the room" and we all naively wondered why people were leaving!  I couldn't be happier.

I hate most adverts on T.V so it's always refreshing when you see one you like.

Such as this one
