I'm guessing you misunderstood me, I said I forgot about those, as in I might have to knock Max Payne 3 off my list because I'm getting those games as well.

I can't wrap my head around how they will slow the game for bullet-time involved players, without slowing everyone in the session or making the slow players easier targets.  Hopefully it will throw out the 2nd feature of dead-eye, marking the X's, and just keep the slow down of action.

As soon as a third player sees you, they are slowed too. I'm hoping bullet time kills give you extra points. If you use it a lot, you may have fewer chances to score compared to someone who is always at full speed. Hopefully play testing balances it out.

What if I am behind a player in slow motion? Is that player just as slow on my screen as well as the players he is looking at? Seems like easy kills.  :-\

Maybe the maps are large enough so that when a player(s) enters bullet time, it only effects a few of the people playing. I love how r*'s videos always show the camera followed player mowing down enemies that don't know how a trigger works. Hell even rdr's load screens tell you not to run into the open, im sure the more you play, the more you'll figure out how to deal with players that put you in bullet time.

only those is the players line of sight will be slowed by bullet time. So as long as your out of the players sight it won't affect you.

I think as soon as you have any line of sight on him, you enter bullet time too. Which is interesting. If you earn BT like dead-eye, do you get free BT when you see someone else already in it? So many questions!
The suspense is killing me...
I hope it lasts!

I'm still skeptical of bullet time in multiplayer, since it seems like, even if well implemented, it would be more irritating and annoying than fun and innovative in a twitchy genre like shooters. It looks definitely great but it might going to be a bullet time fest on the servers, too.

I don't like linear games much but that multiplayer video looked cool.

Oh and bullet time in multiplayer? Let the bitching commence.

Back on N64 Perfect Dark had something of a bullet-time mode...if you put it on "smart" modeit would slow down whenever you got...say within 20 feet or the same room as someone else. Your ability to aim and run n' such was slowed as well so it was more of a neat cinematic trick than an advantage. The only downside being if there were other players they too would be slowed, even if not anywhere near the first two. Collecting ammo and running down stairs in bullet time!
Personally I don't care if it breaks the fuck out of the game, it's been awhile since video games have done proper bullet-time and even longer since they've made a Matrix movie.  :(

Do you know 'Killing Floor' (PC)? There is a "Zed-Time". The slow motion is satisfying, even when you're not the one to activate it. But KF isn't all that competitive and you're not playing against other players. But I believe it has been worked in well.
