I found the references about land especially interesting, and its one we don't usually think about at all.  But as a guy who used to buy land and develop subdivisions and apartments its interesting to me.  Political philosophers talk about that topic alot because land, unlike every other good available for purchase, can't be manufactured.  So the liberal theory is that it should be equally divided or at least univerally available (think on the far end communism where the state controls all the land and gives to people according to their need) and the conservative theory is that people will buy & sell it like every other commodity according to their individual desires for for how much land they need / want.
