Re. The Molotov thing - it might be the weapon dealer burst at level 3, which gives you incendiary ammo?

you are right about the molotov thing, i just tried that burst on level 3 & it gave me grenade kill.

You can't mute people in the middle of the match.

You can't kick people.

Sawn Off is way overpowered.

Melee system is alll fucked up.


What else?

Soft lock exists.

How could Rockstar go from such a successful auto aim in RDR to one of the worst aiming systems I've ever seen in MP3?!?

1. It's not even worth going up a prestige. Besides getting some new badge and an unused Max Payne character you effectively do nothing but lose your hard earned guns

2. They patched all the guns that had nothing wrong with them and kept the overpowered guns the same leaving no variety in weapon choice. The Mini 30 was a tank at the start, but got patched meaning Dual Wield               prevailed, then people like myself found the Sniper and used that, again got patched and again all we're left with is the choice of using either 1911s, PT92s, or dying over and over pretty much.

3. The feud system is way too glitchy, I've lost feuds for no reason sometimes, possibly due to dying several times in a row without getting a kill back although I can't be sure and regardless it shouldn't happen. Also as Kazzy mentioned I think, having two feuds at one time without even knowing the other was going on.. makes for a pretty easy loss unless you really concentrate.

4. The loading times for games and even to get in to the main menu takes way too long. I got bored of those screenshots the first time round and would have much preferred running around the map like in RDR, even if it took like 2 minutes for a lobby to end and a game to start.. rather than 2 minutes of looking at depressing pictures.

5. Free Aim never really saw the light of day and not too many people looked past soft lock, and those who did probably saw dead or empty sessions and got put of straight away (depending on time). It's a shame cos I think the Free Aim side of MP3 was genuinely a contender to RDR's auto aim.

It probably sounds like I hate this game, but I don't, it just admittedly has a lot of issues.

Whats wrong with Max Payne multiplayer?

well the first thing is the loading screen to start the match..............its 5 mins long and sometimes it just crashes and throws you out :'(

If your rank is good enough, sawn offs aren't too bad when they actually run and gun pushing map spawns. The worst is when they get kills by hiding with bomb suites and saw you off out of cover! Don't they get bored camping like that? I would fall asleep  :o

If anyone still has MP3, the online is still humming along. I think it was on sale recently because I see many new players running around, along with some who have never stopped playing. Sure, some of the cowardly bomb suit/sawn off punks are around, but not as many as in the past. And free aim is alive too. Many new players there as well.

Sawn offs were never good in the previous games as well. I always felt that rifles were Max Payne type. Shotguns are there just for the sake of variety. It's fun using a sawn off during Bullet Time or Shoot Dodge but when you're surrounded it gets you killed.
