Having the Golden Guns bonus makes earning Honor rediculously easy, especially if you stick to the Cattleman/Repeater Carbine combo as long as you can. A savvy player can, knowing the limitations of the range and power of both.

If you want to 'testdrive' this horse, you can join R* Social Club and get the cheats included as the joining bonus. One of these is a cheat that drops your Honor automatically to zero, at which point a message will pop up telling you about this horse. Since you're using cheats you can't save and ergo, your preexisting Honor level will remain intact.

0 Honor mean's neutral. Honor system is more of a scale, for example, ranging from -100---0---100.

I don't like how the bandana works.  Why does it keep your honor from going down?  It shouldn't affect honor, it should keep you from getting a bounty placed on you for committing crimes.

I noticed something last night while playing regarding honor. If you go into a saloon and start a fist fight, anyone that bows up on you wanting to fight you can kill and it will not lower your honor. It will lower your honor though if you kill an innocent bystander.

High honor means that witnesses will not respond. Lawmen will still attack you in response.

As I see it, your honor meter is meant "as perceived by others" (not your own perception). With the bandana on, they don't know it's you and hence your honor is not affected. FWIW, if you do a good deed while wearing the bandana, your honor will not rise, which is a good sign that the meter only measures public perception.

Not sure if you're still keeping up this thread, but you could say that
Siding with the banditos in stagecoach robbery gives -50 honor per NPC onboard (6) = -300 total.

To me it seems honor points are a pool that still accumulate past max.

For example, i'm at max positive honor and I continue to get points towards honor for "good actions".

Now I go and kill a town of people in cold-blood and I see negative honor points but my honor stays at hero and the bar does not move.

Can anyone confirm or deny this occurrence?  Is there any known way to see my actual total on honor points?

I don't _think_ so. I think the marker is so big, it doesnt look like it goes down from max, with, saym, -50. Kill a few more ppl, and its noticeable.

I'm still looking for a good way to lower honor quick apart from going on a massacre...

If you look in the stats, I think it gives you your actual Honour points. :-/

So do most of you guys play as a good (positive Honor) or bad (negative) character? Just would like to get peoples' inputs. I just got to hero but after reading this the desparado's perk looks to outdo the Hero's? and that horse sounds Wicked! :P what do you guys think?

Good for the most part. I do stray to the darkside on occasion if the mood strikes me.

Alright I have a question about bounty and fame. My fame is at the highest possible point right now which means any bounty I SHOULD get is cut in half. I want to try for the "Friends in High Places" achievement which means it would take twice as long. If I put the bandanna on will this effect be nullified?
