On traveling Plains in RD meeting and helping strangers, clearing gang hideouts...… I am still using aiming tactics from RDR1.  Aim, nudge up, fire.

The shot completely misses.  :D

On RDO yesterday evening for 3 hours,  never ran into a single player.......so had a good relaxing session stocking up Cripps with stock, to churn into profit.

set camp on Heartlands or Great Plains then ride around hunting.

1. Hunt
2. do nearby sell
3. hunt on way back from sell mission
4. get back to camp, unload carcasses
5. do another sell
6. hunt more animals on way back
7. sell

repeat repeat repeat...... just like pikes basin gang hideout on RDR1

I’ve been having a good time again since the update.  The roles are fun and I’m excited for more. I don’t know, Ferg...I’m not sure the people are ever coming back.

Yeah, there are so many games available now. I think people may drift back now and then, but it’s not a daily game like the first one was. Forum is pretty dead too.

Same here! I actually enjoy RDO now that there's something to do! There is a reason to play and make better money, gold and XP to unlock interesting and fun things! I can't wait to see what other roles they will have and what we can unlock in the future! Kinda wish they made the Outlaw Pass go up to 100....

I am obsessed with finding the collectables! lol

RDO Creator is hopefully somewhere on Rockstars list of updates??

And that could open up the possibilities of designing a game mode for "stagecoach boating"

PHILIP CARLIER: SECLUDED SWAMP-DWELLER REQUESTED DEAD OR ALIVE

Law offices across the West have requested the immediate apprehension of Philip Carlier, wanted for embezzlement and the murder of a fellow employee of the Lemoyne Trading Company. Since the killing two years ago, Carlier has lived alone, on the fringes, in the swamps of Lagras. It is said that this isolation, combined with a taste for dissociative chemicals, has twisted the middle-aged murderer's mind. This Legendary Bounty is considered extremely volatile and should only be approached by the most resolute of bounty hunters.

This Weeks Legendary Bounty

Look the services from the Sheriff of Valentine are called upon once again....... better get suited up later.

So it seems we will have to rely on mods to recreate the RDR1 goodtimes on RDO.

Had a worthless session today.

I'm brand new to RDR......bought it 2 days ago.  I'm not looking to troll....I just have a question:  Is it possible to play the open world online without being slapped around by other players?  My gaming time is limited, and I just can't afford to be killed 3 times in 30 minutes....it's a waste of precious free time.  I realize there's the RDR2 story mode side of the game, but I'm just not interested in following a storyline.

Thanks everybody.

There is a defensive mode that limits other player's ability to kill you. It's not perfect but it's all we have.

Treasure maps have been stacking up....... done 7 this evening,  then went to post office to collect deliveries and blow me another one there.

Then......

roaming round as you do, a traveler calls me over and offers me another treasure map.   After all that, i never had time to sell stock that Cripps prepared.

There was a time when I couldn't find a treasure map outside of ranking up every 5 levels or looting one on a corpse.  Now, I can't seem to get rid of them! LOL!  I must have over 20 maps now including some duplicates waiting at the post office/camp box.  I get to doing some of them and then I get some more!  Between getting maps from leveling up super fast with the collector role and finding maps in random places...I seem to have an endless supply lately....not that that's a bad thing!

Looking forward to the new outlaw pass and new moonshiner role!  But, I don't think it will top the collector role for ranking up and making the best money!

I know...I would love to post more...but I feel like I'm "talking" to no one...except maybe 3 or 4 still come by to read/reply. But, what are ya gonna do? It's a busy time of year right now anyways.

I appreciate you posting stuff, Ferg!  (thumbsup2)
