Red Dead Redemption 2 / Do you think we will see John Marston?
« on: September 30, 2017, 06:54:23 AM »
Either a cameo, a regular character, or not at all?

Obviously the trailer shows Dutch, his gang, and even Bill williamson. So will John be present?

Red Dead Redemption 2 / Could RDR be releasing Oct 3rd?
« on: March 28, 2017, 12:28:48 PM »
Supposedly a retailer accidentally claimed they were told Oct 3rd, but then quickly recanted. This happens a lot it seems - sometimes its true and sometimes not so much. Seems like a good date, for what its worth.

What do you think?

So in the new picture released, it possibly looks like John is not front and center, if he's even in it at all.

Some might freak out, but this could provide some opportunity. Aside from the obvious that a new main character will have all new traits and curiosities, there are also some old characters this could open up.

If you notice, these characters are about the same age. Younger versions of these guys would make for some really cool back story, as opposed to simply reliving John's, which we already know. John didn't know these guys before they met in RDR, so a prequel with John as the main character limits these two from having much play.

Ultimately we know John. But a prequel with John as a side character can tell the same story, but with more opportunity.

This was released this morning, and the second was released yesterday.

Multiplayer General Discussion / Want to play group private sessions?
« on: July 16, 2016, 04:02:45 PM »

Every night there are full RDR private gang match sessions going on. All you need to get in one is to add a bunch of the people who are in one to your friends list, and ask them to invite you (if they haven't already)

SPECIAL NOTE: please go to private mode first before entering or accepting any invites. If someone joins a private session from a glitched/broken public session, they bring the problem with them and the session is lost. GO TO PRIVATE BEFORE ACCEPTING

this thread is designed for those that want to take part, can find other players that are also in these sessions. The more people you have on your list the better your chance. Anyone who wants me to invite them when I'm in one, add me to your friends list. If you would llike to help out others, post your gamertag as well.

My GT: Fisherman TWO

It's finally happening!

Rockstar officially announces that Red Dead Redemption will be backwards compatible on Xbox One starting Friday, July 8th.

This comes after months of rumors and tension among fans. Does this mean Red Dead online will be fixed as well? Post your thoughts below!

Grand Theft Auto / Who wants to join us for some Xbox One GTA5?
« on: June 21, 2016, 01:58:51 PM »
@Chalk , myself, and @Alphapug have been talking about playing some GTA 5. Anyone else been interested in playing lately but would like some company?

My copy just came in the mail for Xbox one, so all I gotta do is update and download and I'll be ready.

The easy, obvious answer is yes. When it was accidentally released a month or two ago, it's a reasonable conclusion to think it's coming soon and they just jumped the gun a bit.

But the more suspicious side of me has me wondering if its that close to happening.

After watching this video:

Specifically, the official statement regarding the accidental release, xbox says they test "all 360 games" for quality before considering them for backwards compatibility.

At first this sounds exciting. If they're testing the game, that means they're working on it, right? Well, if you played RDR and the servers were all jacked up, would you consider that quality?

Part of me can see them testing it, realizing it's jacked up beyond repair, and passing on it altogether. The game has been broken for 2 years now, and rockstar hasnt shown any kind of ability to fix it or any true desire to do so since then. If they haven't yet, what makes us think they will?

Ultimately it seems like it's up to Rockstar to fix it before XBL would put it up, otherwise what's the point? And rockstars track record when it comes to dealing with RDR problems, isn't the best. All the way back to rapid fire, to the modders, then to the breaking of the servers entirely...

Convince me I'm wrong please. :p. I want to be wrong and I want to believe They're just waiting until closer to the release of the next game to help build up hype for the game. I want to see announcement at E3, backwards comp this year, release in Q3 of 2017...but I can't convince myself.

Called Texas Rising. Lots of great actors. Should be pretty good.

Multiplayer General Discussion / New rumors about the next Red Dead

Basically the rumor is just another confirmation that they're working on one, and that it might focus more on co-op.

The Saloon (Off Topic) / What's the temperature where you are?

It was in the negatives the other day here in MO. Today it's around 15 (F). Wind has been crazy though, making it a lot worse than it seems.

Multiplayer General Discussion / Red dead is broken again?!
« on: July 14, 2014, 08:15:33 PM »
I got a message today saying the game is broken. So being the skeptic that I am, I got on and played around. It was loading slow but I did get into a session or two. When I finally did play it was the same problem we had prior to the patch. Invisible enemies and teammates, people dying randomly, no one to kill. Then I went to free roam and found the dreaded bodies laying all around blackwater that seem to signify the worst. Touching them sends you into the hyperdrive XP builder mode. Everyone else I talked to is also experiencing similar issues.

So how long did the patch last? Like a month? After being broken at least six?

Here's the video

Multiplayer General Discussion / New red dead pretty much confirmed
« on: May 30, 2014, 01:56:01 PM »

Take-two, the owners of rockstar as well as other gaming companies and franchises, has stated that red dead is obviously a "permanent" franchise. Meaning that it's here to stay, which would imply there is at least some kind of plan for one in the future. If you consider that rockstar has been said to be at work on a new game to be release in 2015, there's at least a pretty good chance that these two occurrences are related.

So if we're lucky, RDR is that new game in the works and if not, at least we know there is plans to make one. If I were you I would keep an eye out at E3 this year - whatever they're working on will likely be announced there.
