Is it possible to post photographs to this forum from a mobile device and if so, how?

I’ve seen quite a few interesting images on Reddit that I’d like to post here, but I can’t be bothered to dust off the laptop in order to do so.

Maybe try uploading them to Imgur and drop the links?

Red Dead Redemption 2 / Re: Digital Download vs physical copy
« on: October 21, 2018, 09:48:44 PM »
As much as I would like to buy digital it so much more expensive than I can buy retail from my work (especially with staff discount). Also preloading isn't an issue for me because I will struggle to get a lot of time on launch weekend because of work and PAX Aus.

So will probably buy Xbox One version at work on launch day. And then later in November I'll buy the Playstation 4 version in preparation to play some Red Dead Online with others.

I was blown away by RDR1. It was so engrossing and is still my favourite game of all time. I found GTA5 awesome, but I'm expecting the new RDR to hit all the right buttons, including many I never knew I had. :)

Also, back in 2010 I was a member of this forum, but I forgot my account details. I have no idea what my username was or which email address I used.

But I'm excited to be back here to share what I know will be my enjoyment of the new game!

If you give me a list of email addresses you’ve used in the past via a DM I could check on this for you.

Hi there. Thanks for the suggestions.

I've thought about a countdown timer before but the problem being with timezones the actual hour it would show would be dependant on time zone set. And in the end, we all know the release date is now a week away so we probably don't need that constant reminder of how close it is getting.

The bot/spam accounts get banned and then the topics/posts removed. There may sometimes be a delay in removing them if there are a few whilst we process the bans etc. But rest assured we will delete the topics to clean up the trash.

Events / Red Dead Online League - Expressions of interest

Howdy cowboys and cowgirls,

When Red Dead Redemption was released all those years ago, the online multiplayer had a huge base of dedicated fans who loved to test themselves against the best there was. This bought about several amateur competitive leagues. With Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online, the opportunity for competitive tournaments are endless.

As well as relaxed games with friends (or enemies), we are also looking at working with great content creators throughout all streaming platforms (Twitch, Mixer, Facebook Gaming and Youtube) to create a worldwide competitive league. We would love to be able to broadcast some of these matches LIVE on the various streaming platforms. Streaming is such a more accessible option for many gamers now, as built in apps on the PS4 (Twitch) or hardware on the Xbox One (Mixer) means if you have a console, YOU CAN BROADCAST!.

If you are interested in taking part in some of the BEST Red Dead Online events and tournaments, post your details below so we can start to make some arrangements. I know not a lot of details behind Red Dead Online has been released yet but that shouldn't be far away. For now you can assume similar match types to those found in RDR as well as GTA Online. Once we have confirmation of match types we can get some things arranged.

Simply fill out the info below

I will be perfectly honest with you VMB, I am MOST looking forward to getting my mount somewhere where it shouldn't be (that and knifing a few forum members of course :P ).

The biggest issue I see is if the bond you make with your horse has the same effect in Red Dead Online. I wouldn't expect it to have the exact same mechanic as in SP, otherwise it is just asking for trouble.

Alanah Pearce is a host for Rooster Teeth and got to play some Red Dead Redemption 2. After going in with high expectations she reports that she as still blown away.

This pleases me, and everything I am hearing about this game sounds amazing.

The new trailer looks great. The world looks insane.  Holy shit I can’t wait to play this!

You and me both. Nice to see your name (and the DWB colours) around.

Oh man, you guys had them in red packaging? I have only ever seen them in the green packets. Good treat though.

I kinda like how there is some time between the initial release and the release of Red Dead Online. Gives everyone a nice chunk of time to play through the story.

I am sure they will release more information soon but I know other games I've played have the actual date you can predownload from is significantly earlier. Usually 3-5 days at least.

unfortunately ... having found out that the game file download is 105 GB minimum ...
looks like i'll be spending day one downloading game files and then of course the day one up date files that follow ...
crap this might take 2 or 3 days ... see you when i see you ... lol ...
good thing i got myself the 4 TB external hard drive ...

I'm sure if you're going the digital download option there will be a preload period a few days beforehand where you can download the game and any "day one" updates. Then its just a tiny patch day of to unlock the content and you'll be fine.

Site Suggestions & Bug Reports / Re: New RDR2 Avatars for the forum?
« on: September 10, 2018, 06:57:32 PM »
OK, I quickly copied the avatars to imgur, all in an album

I hope that link works!  I don't have the technical know-how to put them in a zip folder or whatever.

Done. Simply navigate to the avatars section of your profiles and you can now select from the RDR2 gallery.

@Chalk, how hard would it be to add new RDR2 avatars to the forum? There are a bunch over at the RDR2 website already made up and have 2 sizes to download. But, if it's too much of a hassle, I could make some.....just need a little time.  It's really easy for anyone to just copy those from the website and upload to imgur, but it would be a nice convenience to have them available right here.

Just a little note for anyone uploading to imgur.....I just changed my profile pic and couldn't get the link to work.  The imgur direct link started with "https://" but it finally worked when I omitted the "s". Weird.

Super easy really. If you can link me to a folder of them I'll try and get them uploaded ASAP. If not I will try when I wake up in the morning if I have a chance.

Ideas are awesome and always open to suggestions.

Found out why Roo has been scarce around here lately. Those burritos don’t deliver themselves.

I prefer Tacos.

Tacos.....raining from the sky?

Gators are 100% confirmed from that gameplay trailer. More importantly it seems that your horse will react to animals like that, and possibly how good your bond with the horse is could result in a better/worse outcome for you and your noble steed.

Can I make a request? Can you come back?

Oh....I made myself sad.
