Red Dead Redemption 2 / Digital Download vs physical copy
« on: October 18, 2018, 02:34:19 PM »
Apparently we will need a massive 105GBs for RDR2, if you have poor internet it could take days to download, BUT R* are allowing pre downloads from tomorrow.

What are you going to opt for? Physical copy or digital download? Is there a video game store near you with a launch event?

Multiplayer General Discussion / Your favourite Red Dead memory

Reminiscing mission

Let's indulge in some enjoyable recollection of past events in Red Dead.

What was your favourite memory from your days playing Red Dead?

I'd have to say for me meeting up with my RRR brethren and playing our quirky games like shotgun house party , I also LOVED the series of games when we played against the Madmen , full posses , competitive and fun.

I seen an article yesterday with more rumours about a new red dead, is there any actual substance to this?

"Red Dead Redemption 2 Release Date On November 2015? Alleged Rockstar Employee Confirms Bully 2, RDR 2 And Manhunt Reboot For The PS4, Xbox One And PC!

Raid [SIC] Redemption 2 release date is set for next year, Fall 2015 if the rumors are to be believed.
While Grand Theft Auto is the most popular franchise of Rockstar, Red Dead Redemption has been regarded as one of their best games yet and it's no surprise that they are making Red Dead Redemption 2 right now.

In a report by the Motoring Crunch, they have spotted the profile of senior game developer at Rockstar on a social networking site, it appears that the next game that Rockstar is working on right now is Red Dead Redemption 2.
According to the Motoring Crunch, The senior engineer, Feinstein, revealed that he is working on a sequel to a famous IP from Rockstar. The lad is was part of the team that brought the Max Payne series. Based on the reveal, only three titles are in contention for getting a sequel.
They are identified as Red Dead Redemption, Bully and Manhunt. All three are Rockstar's success stories and they all deserve a sequel. However, Red Dead Redemption is the most popular of the pack.
As reported by gaming news site Cyberland, Red Dead Redemption 2 release date was tentatively set at Fall 2015 and with Rockstar working on it right now, gamers should expect an E3 2015 announcement and the Red Dead Redemption 2 release date on Novemnber 2015 for the PS4 and Xbox One."

I know there have been rumours before but is this a case of more media BS or is there really no smoke without fire?

There has been alot of talk about lag on the forum recently, Freddie and TJ have differing points of view on the issue for example, and most of this stems from a recent session that I was also in, below are some quotes about the lag discussions recently...

Craigyroo joined my RDR session and we basically battled nasty lag all day. He still did his thing though, capturing his fair share of bags. I don't know if he had his capture card on, but the lag was so bad that it would make an entertaining video. Thanks for the competitive games Craigy.

I hate it when I'm playing and I get lag like this. It doesn't happen too often but @Fisherman/Many Skillz/IB Slacker/Jester - This is what it looked like from my perspective.

Now you can see Jester that I don't make up shit, when I complain about lag, it's because there's a lot of it ;)

Holy crap i've seen lag but never that bad O_O
TBH I was horrified by the lag lol by the lag but it was fairly universal, therefore I suggest that the issue lies mainly with the servers and not an individuals connection (for the most part) I have footage of my own from the particular laggy session, I must say to those featured PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT take any offence :-[, I am not saying you lag all the time , I merely present the video to illustrate the issue at hand, you guys are all great players in your own right so again I must stress this video isn't a slight or a dig at anyone , it was just some great examples about what ALL players put up with in regards to lagravation I know I can lag too so I include myself in this.

so here it is watch in glorious HD

Gaming / Red Dead monopoly
« on: March 22, 2013, 01:49:35 PM »

This was made as a school project :o

"Reddit user inspirermeg deserves an 'A' for this school project:

This was a 2-week project at school, so though I'm happy with the result - I wasn't able to completely finish the project and perfect it (The hotels/houses are the same and better player-bricks? are needed.(The requirements were only the box, the board game itself, Working playerbricks, 3 card examples... though I made them all)) Spent an approximately 8 hours designing and 4 hours printing, taping, glueing and cutting everything. The product contains all the property cards, chance-cards, luck-cards... and the board game, of course."

Site Suggestions & Bug Reports / A new RD.Net with a GTAV flavour
« on: December 07, 2012, 07:05:44 AM »
How about making this site a combined resource for all things Red Dead AND GTAV , I know there is the likes of GTA forums but I think if the site branched out a little we could see a new injection of activity like the good old days when RDR was new , I don't know if it's possible to edit a domain name to reflect this suggestion , but we could change our signage ti incorporate some aspect of GTA V etc , and make a new section for GTA discussion.

Multiplayer General Discussion / Will R* ever get serious about cheaters?
« on: November 02, 2012, 06:06:48 AM »
I have sent more emails to R*'s banhammer than I care to remember , at best I'm lucky to get a response, most of the time my email is deemed "resloved" with zero feedback and zero action , I always put forward HD quality video detailing and cheating/ modding I see but it has been a fruitless endeavour.

However I was encouraged by the two email exchanges below:

> Two players were cheating in free roam

> FL Law Enforcer

> and

> Tx Bogie Man

They were using invincibility mods , and Tx Bogie Man was able to kill with shotgun shots from large distances , they were openly mocking legit players and laughed at the prospect of being reported , you can clearly see on the video I provided in my first email that headshots had no effect on them , and Tx Boogie man 's shotgun is modded to instantly kill players over large distances , something the gun shouldn't do, this clearly indicates a mod in use

I have reported several players that I have caught on camera , do these videos help catch cheats? I would love feedback on this issue

Response from R*

Hello Craig,

I want to again thank you for the report that you have sent in, the footage and info has been submitted to a Tier 2 agent and has been gathered for the banhammer process. We take cases like this very seriously and because of people like you we can keep the gaming world fun for everyone.

Carnell W.

And another

cheat's GT MaKaVeLi xDAMx

This guy was unkillable in a FFA in Las Hermanas I have clear video proof
of him cheating, please view the video, this guy was running some kind of
infinite health mod, this type of cheating has ruined the online aspect of
RDR , this douche just goes into a normal aim FFA and cleans up, legit
players don't have a chance please weild the banhammer, this is about the
5/6 HD quality video I have sent to R* with cheaters on it, I am yet to
hear back about any of them, do you guys actually do anything about these
modders or am I complaining in vain, to be blunt the customer service I
have recieved from R* has been very poor, I respect you guys as I love the
games R8 produces and I am a long time fan but the inaction I have
witnessed regarding these cheaters is really disapointing.

Anyway here's the video complete with commentary from yours truely, some
feedback on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

yours hopefully

R* 's response

Hello Craig,

Thank you for writing in and reporting this unscrupulous player. An investigation will be opened.

Thank you for your cooperation in helping to keep Red Dead Redemption Multiplayer on the up-and-up.

Best Regards,

Paige B.

So will anything actually be done about these cheats? I'm temped to start a petition so legit players can call for more action against the cheaters.
