Red Dead Redemption was released!

Did you get caught up in any hype? Was it the same amount of hype as RDR2?

Were you a day one player or did you get the game later on?

Do you remember your first experience online?

Events / RDO Online Meetups
« on: May 14, 2019, 01:59:58 PM »
Who would be interested in doing this either regularly or randomly? It wouldn't have to be for any particular reason either but to make it interesting there could be a set theme. A different theme for each meet up where where we could take pictures, game clips or even do a live stream on Mixer!

Examples: Fight club, hunting/fishing tournaments, Guarma trip (if possible), horse show (similar to car meets in GTA), fashion show (show off those outfits), boat races, get back into rooftopping, steal a train....whatever we want to do. If nothing, for the simple joy of getting together with friends!

Any ideas? Thoughts? Help me out and spread the word to your friends to join in too.

Red Dead Online / RDO coming out of beta
« on: May 13, 2019, 08:50:03 PM »
Just gonna leave this right here....not sure what to think at this point! Good news? Or just more of the same boring stuff with nothing that fans really want!

Red Dead Redemption 2 has now sold 24 Million copies worldwide. Only selling 1 Million copies in the last 3 months. Take-Two Interactive have said it’s still selling better than expected.

Red Dead Online will be coming out of beta this Quarter, meaning it will come out of Beta by the end of June. CEO Strauss Zelnick also claimed that they have content drops coming for Red Dead Online. Claiming Online is performing very well.

Any PS4 players get this game? THIS would be THE game that would make me get a PS4.....hypothetically speaking, of course.

Let me know if any of you are streaming it...please and thank you. Post any screenshots or game clips here for me to drool over.

Here is the new thread for everyone's ideas that they have sent to Rockstar or will send to Rockstar regarding Red Dead Online! I made it sticky so it's easier to find.

Here is a direct link to Rockstar's feedback page:

Let's all help each other send in the same ideas! Hopefully this will make an impact and let Rockstar know that we will not give up on what we want as fans!

The more I hear about this game, the more interested I become! Check this out....this guy (TagBackTV) on Youtube has recreated the town of Valentine in the early PC release of this game which will be coming soon to consoles! He has some more videos of gameplay and also does alot of RDR2 videos!

Here's an article....

What are your thoughts on this new game? Anyone on PC try it out yet?

Gaming / Generation Zero

Noticed there was a new game released this week called Generation Zero. Anyone hear about it? I think it's all a PvE co op based game where you can play with up to 4 people. Graphics look pretty nice! It's a survival type game where you are fighting against some type of robots in the 1980's. You can customize your character in '80's style!

Red Dead Redemption 2 / Challenges and Side Quests
« on: February 17, 2019, 01:14:27 PM »
I am currently working on the Herbalist challenge which is very time consuming, so I figured I would get it out of the way...been putting it off for too long because I hate looking for plants. I am on #9 to find all 43 herb find out that even though I have already found most I still have to go repick them such a pain! What I have left (thank god I wrote each one down) is 9 more orchids.......BUT, some won't spawn until you have done certain parts of the Duchesses and Other Animals exotics side quest. Ok, that's will be a nice break from that tedious task and I will find the orchids as I complete each part of the quest!

The RDR2map website and Youtube have been a tremendous help with doing these. For the exotics side quest I was happy to find a great hunting spot to find all 20 herons for part 2. Go to Clemens Cove where the horse fence is and that entire area near the water is a spawning ground for so many types of birds! I found myself not only looking for herons but studying all types of birds I could not find before! To get more to spawn, either set up camp and sleep or save and reload your game! I mean, there just isn't a few birds here and there....there are FLOCKS of birds flying by and some just land on the ground to pick at dead bird carcasses.

I hope this is a help for someone else working on this challenge/quest!

Red Dead Online / Weird and odd experiences online
« on: January 14, 2019, 04:49:16 PM »
Don't know if anyone has had any weird un-explainable experiences online or not but, I had something happen last night that was really weird. I was by myself just exploring around that Black forest area just south of where Pronghorn Ranch would be. I was on my way to Hanging Dog Ranch. No other players were nearby. As I was riding down the road I got ambushed by the O'Driscolls. Killed them all and started looting the bodies and I heard and felt what seemed like an arrow or throwing knife hitting me. But, NO ONE was other player and no NPC to be seen. At first I just wanted to run away, but I stayed around to see if something else would happen...but didn't. Later on I got a little message in the top left of my screen that said the effects of the poison had stopped, so I guess it was a poisoned throwing knife? Is there something or someone(NPC) hiding in those woods or has someone found an invisibility glitch? That Black forest is really creepy ....going to go back to see if it happens again.

Red Dead Redemption 2 / Future Story Mode DLC a Possibility?
« on: December 26, 2018, 01:18:11 PM »
This guy is a getting a little click-baity with his video titles, but he does have good content.

What do you think or hope to be Rockstar's next plans for a possible story mode DLC? What kind of story line or subject would like to see if they add a DLC?

Red Dead Redemption 2 / Achievements and 100% Completion
« on: December 20, 2018, 10:30:26 AM »
For those of us that are still loving the story close are you to getting 100% completion and all story achievements?

For me, the hardest one is (probably won't get it) the achievement of getting all gold for missions. I will probably give it a try after getting (close to) all the others. My question is when I replay the mission...where does it get saved at and will I be able to continue with my current save. I do have several game saves and I have auto save turned off.

I've missed achievements like "Friends with Benefits" there any way I can go back to complete that one?

The one achievement that I am having the most fun with is the one where you have to survive 18 bear attacks.

89.9% completion and 33/51 for achievements.

Red Dead Online / Ultimate Edition Content
« on: December 14, 2018, 07:00:24 PM »
This is probably a nooby question, but here goes....

I purchased the Ultimate Edition digital and I game share with my hubby. I started a character on his account and I'm not getting any of the free weapons, outfits, horse and camp theme. So, is it because you can't game share add-ons or do I need to get to a certain part of the online story or reach a certain level? I got thru the first mission stealing horses and I am in a public free roam. The content was downloaded on my hubby's xbox, too. So, I'm not sure what's going on.

Official News / Rockstar Update for RDO
« on: December 06, 2018, 12:13:10 PM »
We want to thank the Red Dead community for playing and sending us tons of valuable feedback during the first full week of the Red Dead Online Beta’s availability. This feedback is crucial to help shape the game as we move forward.

Today we are starting to implement the first set of adjustments to the game including changes specifically geared towards creating a more balanced, fun and rewarding overall experience, across all modes and missions. These include:

Increasing the cash and gold payments across a number of different activities including Free Roam Missions, Free Roam Events, replays of A Land of Opportunities Missions, Showdown Series modes and more.
Reducing the prices of most weapons in the Wheeler, Rawson & Co Catalogue and Gunsmiths. For players that have already purchased weapons at the previous prices, we will automatically deposit the difference to player balances starting today - please look for an alert message the next time you log in to the Red Dead Online Beta to notify you of this change, refunds may take up until December 10th to reach all players.
Balancing the values of select pelts, skins and fish as well as horse reviver and pamphlets.
Of course our efforts to improve and balance the Red Dead Online Beta will continue. We are conscious of and still evaluating an assortment of further adjustments based on feedback from the community. We are currently working on fixes for some persistent bugs that are causing some players to be kicked from sessions, and we aim to have fixes for these live next week. We will also continue to review all the feedback and suggestions so please keep them coming to

As an added thank you for playing and helping us through the beta period, we're also awarding everyone that joined in to play the Red Dead Online Beta at any point through midnight PST today with a gift of RDO$250 and 15 Gold Bars. Gifts should start arriving today and will hit all eligible players by Friday, December 14th.

Once again, we want to thank everyone for playing the Red Dead Online Beta and sharing their experiences so far with us. There’s still lots more to come so please stay tuned!

Red Dead Online / I need help with PvP
« on: December 05, 2018, 10:44:39 AM »
I mean, I need serious help! First off, I have some questions...

What kind of guns are you all using? I have the repeater carbine, varmint rifle, cattleman, pump shotty and the volcanic. I have not yet upgraded them, but I finally have a pretty good amount of money to do so. What other gun is a good purchase and what are the best component upgrades to add to them? I'm level 15.

Do you use dead-eye? Have you upgraded that? It's soooo expensive to get the next card! I am thinking of waiting to see what they change in the economy to see if it's cheaper.

What aim settings are the best? I have assisted aim, but I don't think it works very well...not sure if my internet is crap or it's just lag on someone else's part. Every time I aim the reticule it aims to the left and rarely on my target. So hard to get head shots. What other settings are good as far as for shooting?

I pushed myself to play PvP last night....I like Hostile Territory and the FFA's....don't like Make It Count because I'm the first to die and I don't want to stay in spectate mode for 8 - 10 minutes. I did get MVP twice in Hostile Territory...all I did was hold down a base the longest! lol.

Don't forget about our Xbox club for the forums! I am hoping to make that a meeting place for LFG and tournaments. I think that would be a good place to start to get people together for the forums as a whole! I haven't really tried out the LFG feature very much and I have no clue how the tournaments work.

What's your opinion on the Xbox clubs? Do you use them at all?

Red Dead Redemption 2 / Easter Eggs and other oddities
« on: November 19, 2018, 04:35:02 PM »
Red Dead Redemption is chock full of Easter Eggs and other strange random it seems.

What have you found so far? Post some photos and game clips with any details on how to find them here.

I have heard of something to do with the "I know you" dude in a little house deep in the swamps. Has anyone else heard about it because I am wondering if it is true or not? I found the house but the event that supposed to happen didn't.
