I’ve been wanting to use this for a while:

Has anybody seen pics of the map which have now been leaked?

Show content for Hiden:
Seems that map from 4 years ago was legit after all.

Aesthetically speaking I’m sure the map is refined from the leaked version

I’m delighted Mexico is back, I wonder if R* will get a joke in about a wall stopping player’s progress south of the border?

Wasn’t there a chap in one of the videos/screenshots that bore a striking resemblance to Landon Ricketts?

I’d certainly be willing to wager that he’ll be included.

I think some people reckon this dude is Landon?

Since this is a prequel, that focuses on a new protagonist, it leaves a lot of opportunity to meet various characters from RDR that John met.  Our new protagonist could meet these people for the first time in their younger days, when out and about on adventures without John.

So who would you want to see?  To me, it would be cool to see Landon Ricketts a little younger and faster.

The Blackwater massacre might be depicted with Landon Ricketts, the only sour note being the original voice actor has sadly passed away.

Personally I’d love to see Irish in there at some point, just for old time lols, oh and we can’t forget Herbert Moon.

I don’t seem to be able to access the Imgur website from my phone right now. Will try again later.

I’ve never used Imgur. I’ll give it a look.

If you google the desktop version of imgur (the default mobile version doesn’t work well for forum purposes , ironically) you can upload saved pics from your phone’s camera roll, it will even give you a viable link to copy and paste to the forum.

Get the mixer app on a phone or pc and watch a bit. It will be from the player’s view like twitch. You can also have 4 people co-stream the same game and viewer will see a 4 screen display of the game. Also cool is the feature where you can let a viewer take over your control and play your game from their console! Pretty neat I think.

This has great potential for clan wars etc.

I bit the bullet and pre-ordered from Amazon today. Call me old fashioned, but I didn’t see the point in spending £10 extra for digital.

Who knows Amazon might jump the gun again like they did with GTAV , do you remember that they shipped it a few days early?

Apparently we will need a massive 105GBs for RDR2, if you have poor internet it could take days to download, BUT R* are allowing pre downloads from tomorrow.

What are you going to opt for? Physical copy or digital download? Is there a video game store near you with a launch event?

I need a new system and everything.😒

ha ha ha. I "had" to bite the bullet and pony up the $299 for an Xbox One S this weekend. Necessary evil. Nevermind that my car needs about $500 in repairs. The ability to travel to and from work isn't AS in important as the ability to play RDR2

Sure it’s a once in a generation game, you couldn’t miss out.

Good man, enjoy the new console, hope to see you and some other folks online soon.

Red Dead Redemption 2 / Re: Online Character
« on: October 10, 2018, 08:14:35 AM »
Already wasting thoughts on how to dress my online character.
I really liked the Miners Faction back in RDR. There was this one guy with a scruffy beard and a red beanie (I think). His shirt was incredibly dirty (Miner) and he wore heavy pants and boots. That's how I'm going to dress my online character. A malnourished, dirty, hairy bottom dweller. My horse will be a Sorrel Quarter Horse. My guns will get a blued, used look with bone handles. What about you?

ah a Slow - Mo Hobo Mofo then?

Personally I will be looking for something boringly practical perhaps, what I mean by that is in Max Payne 3 it was rumored that female characters had smaller hit boxes, and me being a fan of female boxes.... anyway I would opt for a character that perhaps wears dark colours, or shades of western brown to blend in a bit, essentially anything that will him them less of a target.

The other option would be to make the character as ludicrous as possible, dynamite jewelry a la Pig Josh, giant sombrero, Marty McFly BTF Part III style shirt:

Red Dead Redemption 2 / Re: Western movie references
« on: September 25, 2018, 07:57:10 AM »
Hoping for some John Wayne references or maybe some western TV references like Bonanza or The High Chaparral.

I want to see some True Grit references in there, horse trading perhaps? I watched the Coen Brother's remake the other night, the hangman scene had me in stitches, the convicted men where allowed to say a few last words and rambled on about why they were about to be hung etc.  apart from the native American, he started into his last words but was quickly muffled by the hang man's hood before he could get more than 3 words out.

Was looking through my history on an old Youtube account I had, and I stumbled upon these old skirmishes we used to do with the Red River Resistance when I was in Man Men back in 2011. Seems like a different life, I wonder if any of these guys are around on the forum? Maybe.

Papabear actually recorded these, I dunno if he even visits the forum anymore lol. You can find more on his channel here:

Well there’s a blast from the past, seems like a lifetime ago ,  I try to play RDR the other day and I was horrible lol , hopefully being older hasn’t ruined my skill set too much.
