Official News / Re: Release date announced! October 26th 2018!

3 months until release day. I thought activity would have picked up around here by now.

What was this place like 3 months before RDR was released?

Hi All,

I am in the middle of a house move but I'll keep checking in every now and then.

I am hoping a gameplay trailer might pique people's interest? Also there are more rumors re Bully 2.

Let’s all pray for Craigyroo in this trying time for him.

Who would have thought a all vegan BBQ joint would go bust?

If it's all okay with the RDRForum.Net community, I'll stick around and share some of your conversations. If I can't build an audience they may just come through here too.

Of course stick around, we hope to see a lot more activity closure to launch, hopefully when the game play video drops.

(I have a theory that John will end up killing Arthur (maybe trying to protect Dutch?) who knows stranger things have happened.

I didn't realize uncle was coming back until I watched this video.  Maybe he'll entertain us by stumbling into the campfire every now and again.

I want to see prequel versions of Herbert Moon and of course Irish .

I see Dutch’s gang has a fellow called Sean McGuire so perhaps a relative of the old horse gonad fondler himself?

I've never played an active MP game that didnt have bugs at first.  Even COD always has issues at first.

They'll crash, and then I can comfortably play single player without feeling like I'm losing out on a chance to get better.

Yeah I didn’t even finish RDR’s SP until the PSN crash and we had no MP.

Looking forward to wading through a swamp and seeing a Alligator.

So are we.

I know that everyone plays games differently and many will play the single player straight through before firing up multiplayer and that’s great, but there’s something to be said for dipping your toe early. One of my best gaming memories is from the first week or so of RDR online. It was so new and exciting and no one knew much so people were just riding around together seeing the sights. Someone found a waterfall! Let’s go check it out. We can ride anywhere on the map! Mexico trip! People seemed friendlier and didn’t just camp and snipe you at spawn. I hope we see a similar grace period this time.

I missed all those halcyon days as I was relatively late to RDR, hence I never really fell in love with free roam but this time around I expect there will be many interesting and fun sites to explore, glitches to be found, trains in MP? Saloon brawls, poker, horse shoes, custom outfits, guns, custom horses, crazy wildlife, native tribes after scalps etc etc. oh and canoes, (white river racing anyone? Maybe just maybe we will get stage coach boating (but if we can swim then the jeopardy is removed?). Graphically RDR2 looks amazing, the little details are all shaping up very nicely indeed.

Re MP , I'm not worried about microtransactions, after-all it is an opt in exercise for cosmetic items. I just hope that the controls are similar and refined from RDR, and that R* have decent servers and jump all over any OP weapons and of course ban any cheaters. This should be a defining moment in gaming.

Just on our way home from Venice, had a great time.  I should hopefully be home before the new trailer drops later.

Jammie Kopite twats

5 times jammie?

I particularly enjoyed Lineker's comment that Mohammed got the better of Jesus.

Had a great time with Wilson in RDR last night :) We did some coop, boating and fighting the law. We also witnessed a fight between NPC's that easily lasted 20 minutes (thumbsup2)
It was good to be back on the prairie :)

Those were the days eh?

I'm starting to get into hype mode for RDR2, six months out, and a news blackout. Hopefully we will get more details to digest soon. I'm planning ahead, clearing the calendar so to speak, the game drops during the Halloween holidays so schools will be out, I was never again for RDR launch, it was nearly a year after the game dropped that I played it so i missed out on all the build up, and even at that I was more into multiplayer but this time around I feel intrigued about the main story too.

I love the photo mode feature and the fact that I can save my photos to a website (just like snapmatics save to the social club on GTA5). My xbox storage gets filled up too quickly.

Great screen shots!

Happy Birthday Silebyboy :) (party)

And congrats to Craigyroo, Mrs Marston and Dead Bear with your forum anniversary :) (thumbsup2)

Cheers matey.  (party)

The last time I booked a day off work because of a video game release was Vice City. I won’t be doing it again though as I would never hear the end of it from her indoors.

I had 11/11/11 off for Skyrim, just thinking of the Elder Scrolls (or Fallout) next time Bethesda have a major release I will not be following any press releases, media blurbs, hype preview videos, reviews etc. The best gaming experience I ever had bar RDR was Oblivion, I went in totally blind and was blown away, not knowing the story and discovering it for myself, exploring the open world, amazing.

i was all set to book of a few days at the end of last year......... then was ready to book off a spring break this year.

But now it don't matter, I'm a gentleman of leisure  :)

Personally I can't think of a better reason to book some time off.  If it's a midnight release are you going to be there? I have never done a midnight release before ( (seedy) steady).

I really hope that R* don't stagger release dates across regions like they did with Max Payne 3 for example.

Grab the bag and hold your own were in the last RDR game though Ferg, so it’s perfectly reasonable to think that they could also be part of the new one.

I would hope so, the bag games were the best mode IMO , (including  gold rush in FFA).

Who's booked time off work come October?

Red Dead Redemption 2 / Re: Regular tournaments for RDR2
« on: February 27, 2018, 11:00:06 AM »
Hey guys,

How would you guys feel if we ran regular tournaments/events for RDR2? As some of you know I have also recently been exploring streaming and have really fallen in love with the streaming community, particularly on Mixer. Part of my idea would be to have some events streamed via peoples Xbox's or Playstation consoles. Specific details will have to be worked out once we know more info on RDR2.

What I want to ask is how would you guys feel if we used a third party site like to help organise the tournament brackets etc? For instance, if you to go and sign up to my "test" tournament you will see how it works. Could be a useful tool if we can ever run large scale tournaments. With the popularity of eSports booming I think there is a great opportunity for those who want to hone their skills in the new game.

I was just talking with Alphapug about this the other day, for example RRR and MM had a friendly series of games and it was competitive and fun, I would have loved to have streamed that to the wider RDR community at the time, I can foresee scheduled events, tournaments, stagecoach boating, poker, you name it being streamed and promoted via the forum.

The Saloon (Off Topic) / Re: Post some Funny Pictures ?
« on: February 27, 2018, 07:47:41 AM »
Well I don’t get it. Can anyone explain why that’s supposed to be funny?

The outfit on the left is from PUBG. People who play PUBG laugh at people who play Fortnite.

Thanks mate, but to be honest I’m still none the wiser.

to me the image is not so much funny as it is sad ... sad that instead of just enjoying his PUBG, he's spending time to crap on someone elses fun ...

I know, that's no way to argue with a fellow gamer...

We should drop 'em both of on an island and let them battle to the death.
