Site Suggestions & Bug Reports / Re: New RDR2 Avatars for the forum?

OK, I quickly copied the avatars to imgur, all in an album

I hope that link works!  I don't have the technical know-how to put them in a zip folder or whatever.

Done. Simply navigate to the avatars section of your profiles and you can now select from the RDR2 gallery.

@Chalk, how hard would it be to add new RDR2 avatars to the forum? There are a bunch over at the RDR2 website already made up and have 2 sizes to download. But, if it's too much of a hassle, I could make some.....just need a little time.  It's really easy for anyone to just copy those from the website and upload to imgur, but it would be a nice convenience to have them available right here.

Just a little note for anyone uploading to imgur.....I just changed my profile pic and couldn't get the link to work.  The imgur direct link started with "https://" but it finally worked when I omitted the "s". Weird.

Super easy really. If you can link me to a folder of them I'll try and get them uploaded ASAP. If not I will try when I wake up in the morning if I have a chance.

Ideas are awesome and always open to suggestions.

Found out why Roo has been scarce around here lately. Those burritos don’t deliver themselves.

I prefer Tacos.

Tacos.....raining from the sky?

Gators are 100% confirmed from that gameplay trailer. More importantly it seems that your horse will react to animals like that, and possibly how good your bond with the horse is could result in a better/worse outcome for you and your noble steed.

Can I make a request? Can you come back?

Oh....I made myself sad.

Had a good time with Wilson playing Far Cry 4 :) I wished coop worked when the game was hot, but hey, better late than never.

Its a solidly fun game to play. I haven't had a chance to dive into the co-op but I have watched a few people who have. Seems pretty legit. It can be so hard to find a generally SP centric game where the MP/Coop doesn't feel "tacked on".

Another game I have spend dozens of hours in and still some way off completing.

I never ended up completely Mafia III. Got about 1-2 hours in and then got distracted by so many other games. Its on my pile to complete but......its a big pile.

I feel that every other country has much better public transit systems then we ever have it Oz.

I used to love riding my bike but I really haven't had much of a chance the last couple of years. Plus where I live now is SUPER hilly and all main roads so kinda makes it more difficult. When I move out later in the year hopefully I can find a place where riding a bike is a bit easier.

I hope that you can ragdoll down cliffs again.

Well there has been a lot of comments about the movements during the fight scene in trailer and when Arthur was thrown out of the window, so there is hope for some realistic ragdoll.

I just hope the MP is as a good as RDR. There was something special about that game.

I will be VERY interested to see how the Red Dead Online plays out. It has been so massive for GTA that even 4-5 years after release there is still regular little content updates and SO SO much to do in the world. Based on how it affected the share prices for Take-Two (look up the share price from 2013-now) I can only be encouraged that they are going to take that format and run with it.

From a brief look at the Twitter, and this is just a minor knit pick, but it seems like we’re promoting R* as opposed to ourselves. All our followers will already follow R* so retweeting them won’t do much. Maybes I’m looking at it the wrong way, but surely we want out Twitter to promote our discussion board, which is here, as opposed to promoting R*, which they’re more than capable of doing, or using our Twitter as some secondary discussion board, which I see happens in a few posts(I.e. what do you think of this?). The Twitter sole purpose should be to promote here, so instead of retweeting the trailer, retweet the trailer with a link to a thread on here, and instead of asking a question on Twitter, promote the thread it’s being discussed in here. There’s so many sources for R* news, and we’re discussion board, not a news site and I think we should promote ourselves as such. That’d be my opinion on it anyway, if that’s of any help

For sure we need to have more focus on directing people to discuss in depth here. Twitter is great for the breaking news and what not, but if you want to discuss a detailed analysis of a trailer or what you want to see in the game then you need more then the Twitter character limit. Most importantly of all its about building that community of people who love the game, not just enough to tweet but to WANT to discuss it further in an open forum environment.

Red Dead Redemption 2 / Re: Regular tournaments for RDR2

Duelling tournaments:

Revolver vs Bow & Arrow ?

would you stand a chance with an arrow.

Depends if that first shot misses. Also would like to see if the bow and arrow was a one hit kill for most humans.

think i either read or heard that your horse isn't the only thing you could lose in game ...
and then have to either replace or back track to locate where you may have lost said item ...

It appears that has stemmed from IGN who got a hands on with the game.

I am sure there will be plenty to do in the saloons. We already have caught a glimpse of the gang playing poker together and we had other mini games in RDR. I would love to see more things like shows going on. Especially because of the nature of the type of company you keep I can expect that they could get into all sorts of shenanigans.

@Mrs Marston I've sent a message for credentials and will explain how we normally use the accounts etc.

I actually really want to get back into GTAV for this reason. Will have to look at doing it this weekend.

Gonna make all that running off cliffs with horses very sad.

It’s just going to mean more reloading dude.

I think I might actually try to not reload. Unless of course I get screwed over by the game glitching or something. I think the pain of losing a horse you had bonded with would really add an element to the game.
