Red Dead Online / Re: This online is garbage!!
« on: December 10, 2018, 06:46:12 PM »
Yeah, I hate it too.  I hate the PvP, I hate the free roam.  And on top of that, everything I read about it in addition to what I already know makes me hate it even more.  People really know how to ruin a game for others and R* may have blew it.

Unfortunately, until they come up with private sessions I'm out.  I have plenty still to in the story line so I'm going to keep concentrating on that and forego online for a while...maybe forever.

I might be on tomorrow for some online.  Not sure, I have to do Christmas decorations and house chores, but I'm going to try to get in a little bit of time.  Would love to hook up with a crew of y'all if anyone will be there.  Maybe noon or 1PM CST?  I don't know but that is my best estimation?

I miss the narrator.

"Sweeeet justice"

I guess I'll get screwed in online.  I gave R* enough of my money, I will not give them any more.

I feel bad, had to turn down invites two days in a row because I'm trying to complete SP and Mr D demands my attention lol.

I have to be completely honest...without private free roam or a large group of friends online to play with, I have zero interest in MP.  Getting repeatedly shot while trying to complete a simple challenge does nothing but piss me off.

Joined a shootout thinking it was a team game.  Ended up in an FFA type match instead.  I'll feel better when I have friends to play with.

I have a mouthful of what looks to be corn kernels and that was the nicest option, besides no teeth at all.  Really disappointed in the character creator, at least for the women.  Maybe we'll have better option for hair later too.  I think a bird made its home in mine.

Do you remember recording anything like, "I know you're close...I feel ya ticklin' my britches"?

I finally got to take Jack fishing!  Yaaaaay!!!!

You get to take Jack fishing? As in Jack Marston? So I guess John is in the game? So many spoilers on this forum. It should be called reddeadspoilers.net.

No, Jack Mehoffer.  One of the gang members who grew up nowhere near water, so you get to teach him how to fish.

Swear I saw the Aurora Borealis in West Grizzlies, but it didn't come out well in photos.

Edited to add photo:

Doesn't even begin to show what colors were in the sky...

This time I was smarter, after I finally broke and saddled her, I headed for the bison.  As soon as I got the notification that I was in Legendary territory, I did a manual save, which I ended up not needing because this time the bison didn't run into the dang water to die.

I managed to get the pipe for Dutch, meet up with Black Belle, find a Wintergreen Berry bush for Herbivore Challenge 2, and get back to camp with a fresh deer kill for the group and a $500 donation.

All in all, a good day, even though I didn't progress the actual story at all.

Was driving a wagon through Saint Denis...big mistake.  I got caught in a traffic jam, bumped into the cart ahead of me and got a bounty for "Vandalism".  Seriously, game?????

And now I'm attacked by a gang of four O'Driscolls...I defend myself and kill them and bam...bounty.  Ugh.

Girl, you should see this crazy spreadsheet.  If I can figure out how to transfer from OneDrive to Google docs I will upload.  I have a serious problem.

I found a man down by the river, sitting by his campfire with his dog.
He invited me to have a seat and chat.
I walked around the fire a bit, then decided to sit and rest.
I sat right down in his lap.  It was the funniest thing I have seen in a long time.

By the time I grabbed my phone to take a picture, he was finished with his chat and got up.
I am so sad I didn't get a shot of it.

Is there any way to take a quick screengrab on the Xbone?
I swear I have been able to long ago but have forgotten.

I don't know if they will purchase all items, but Fences will buy stolen jewelry that regular merchants won't buy.  They'll also craft special items (talismans) for you.

The fence at Emerald Ranch will buy stolen wagons and coaches.

There is a fence by Clemens Point that will buy stolen horses.

Speaking of horses, does anyone have any ideas on how to easily bring a tamed horse home?
I broke a horse but didn't want to leave mine behind.  So, I lassoed the new horse, but found no way to easily bring him along, I had to keep the lasso in hand the entire time.

Would I have been better off riding the new horse back to the stables and whistling for my regular horse the whole way?  Or would my horse follow us?  Or is there a way to tie the rope to my saddle?

There's also one in Van Horn Trading Post (east coast).
