or just a short distance from blackwater you can put a dead dear slightly in the water and the fish will come up and try to eat him and they will die and you can just go and pick up all the little bastards.

There is no real way to spin around quickly or look behind you like you can on a horse.
winning wrestling you need to get out of it and be fast enough to equip either a shotgun or hatchet and without using LT just hip fire it. So far that is the only way I have won.
Paint it black is superior solely because of how quickly dead eye is used up. if you can find a way to replenish dead eye as fast as you use it then maybe slow and steady might be helpful. I found dead eye only useful in very small circumstances in rdr2 whereas in red dead you would use it to reload weapons, tke out guys quickly or hit ones that were a little too far away. It also lasted a lot longer and was replenishable through boxes. I guess if you wanted to drink potions constantly to keep it up slow and steady might be worth it.

feel free to hit me up. I will be around. After seeing the gold bars released with no actual game updates besides nerfing the amount of money you get for hunting and fishing RDR2 online is dead to me. Any person who spends a single dollar on gold bars is a fool for supporting these greedy bastards. Can't say I didn't see it coming. Super happy the single player was worth the game price though.

Maps that have a shrinking safe zone I would put a waypoint in the center of the map so I always knew what direction to head during shrinkage.

Fully agree apart from the Ability Cards 😬. They make some players seem like they have mods on or something 🙄

We are on the same page, I did say the ability cards are extremely stupid.  I just didn't bother leaving feedback to Rockstar about them because I highly doubt they remove them. :'(

Yup, i have captured vids where i shoot there head 2 to 3 times and nothing happens. I watch one of fisherman's vids on my xbox app feed. Fish hit this female character at least 15 times....

Why couldnt they just leave competitive matches alone. RDR1 PVP was perfect and a bunch of noobs at rockstar went and fucked it up 😂

Those headshots weren't effective because of ability cards, but because the rdr online old west takes place in Marshmallow world where things aren't always what they appear to be.

Is there hats you can wear to stop headshots? I haven’t seen any yet

Defense Ability Card List
Ability   Unlock   Effect
Hunker Down   Rank 20   Take less damage while in cover
To Fight Another Day   Rank 22   Take less damage while sprinting
The Unblinking Eye   Rank 26   Dead Eye & Eagle Eye gauge drains slower
Take the Pain Away   Rank 34   Reviving a player grants you and the target defense boost for 8 seconds
Of Single Purpose   Rank 40   Take less damage while using melee weapon or unarmed
Never without One   Rank 46   Hats will block a single headshot
Takes more damage without hats

Tbh, I think people are over exaggerating the importance of the grind in PvP. The best gun in the game is $70 and becomes available at a reasonably low level. I havent spent any time grinding, have only bought one weapon, haven’t bought any ability cards, and have been doing fairly well in PvP. I also bought the wrong ability card at the start, so I’m not able to paint x’s with deadeye, but that hasn’t been needed to do well so far. So I think people are definitely overstating the importance of grind in pvp, you don’t need to grind to do well in it.

In terms of free roam, I think it’s head and shoulders above RDR1. True, gang hideouts should spawn more, and they were great in RDR1, but beyond that there wasn’t anything in free roam. There was no hunting, fishing, drinking etc.. And people seem to keep talking about “griefing” as if it never happened in RDR1. From my experience so far, RDR1 was far far worse for grieving and killing in free roam. Hasn’t really happened to me to a major extent, and have had plenty of peaceful encounters with strangers.

The key issues with PVP are still the spawns, game modes and matchmaking. They’re both terrible, but i think if they fix both of those we have a pretty worthy successor to RDR1, especially considering the huge improvement on a single player. Sure, it doesn’t reach the dizzying heights set by the first one, but I still think it’s a pretty damn good game

The best gun in the game was supposed to be used as a small game / bird gun. How long before this gun gets nerfed? What happens when you start playing against more high level players using an ability card that makes it so you need 2 headshots to kill them and not just one because they were wearing a hat? People are grinding to get to the levels so they can use this. when it takes you 2 shots and them only 1 with the same gun you have a problem.

free roam in rdr had hunting and many more consistent gang hideouts. Selling furs that vanish from your horse because some one griefed you before you got to the butcher is a problem. Fishing can be fun for a little but becomes dull pretty fast if that isn't your thing. travelling across the map is extremely time consuming unless you want to pay to fast travel which takes grinding to get money. Did griefing happen in rdr 1? sure it did but it had next to no consequence. It definitely can in rdr2. there is very little to do in free roam besides fight other players, the random stranger mission and I don't remember when I saw the last gang hideout spawn, unless you want to sit and fish or hunt all day and watch the same skinning animation repeatedly.

The issues with pvp are spawns that put you a mile from the action or right beside another team or in the middle of multiple enemies, how long it takes to come out of respawn, people spawning right behind you, team colors too closely resembling each other, game modes, match making, poor latency, very buggy, time for matches to end in the bow and knife ones, How crappy the response of any other gun besides the varmint rifle is, shotguns that take 3 reloads at point blank range at times and instakill 5 feet away at others.

I have played the shit out of this game in both free roam and pvp since it released. I am level 37. I won't be going higher. Is this what rockstar calls a beta? sure it is. What happens when someone finds some way to get glitched gold bars or something like that in the game? Will rockstar let you stil keep your character or will it maybe get reset? how much more do you want to grind to get back to where you are now? This game is very obviously going to be heavily monetised just like gta V. I think I will jump ship now and be happy they made a great single player which was worth what I paid for the game. The online is trash and is definitely losing players and will continue to do so. If Rockstar resets characters, you can be sure it will lose even more. People are not exaggerating the crappy online mode. It is what it is. I would love for Rockstar to prove me wrong, but I am pretty sure they won't. They have shown with gta online exactly where they want their games to go and people who say the game is great or find little to no flaws in the online and dispute those that do only have themselves to blame when Rockstar doesn't change a damn thing. The game could have been an amazing multiplayer experience but they focused too heavily on making money and things that shouldn't matter in a multiplayer mode like weight and clothing and horse care. The world is beautiful, it is just empty. I will go back to playing multiplayer games that work and aren't a buggy mess, maybe replay the single player of red dead 2. I won't keep playing a garbage game just because I love the world it is in and the people I have met and played with while in it. I guarantee I am not the only one that thinks this way, I am just one of a few willing enough to be vocal about it. If everything gets fixed and the game becomes great, I can log back on then and start to have fun again. Until then, I will enjoy myself in good games and hopefully see some of the people I played with here on those as well. You go ahead and enjoy your varmint gun and great pvp experience. I will enjoy playing games where it doesn't feel like living in a marshmallow town where some things sponge up your shots and others  surprise you that you even made them, and every gun is viable.

I am done. I loved playing with all the old gang and some new members as well. It was the one thing that kept me playing the shit show that is RDR online.

PVP the thing I enjoyed most about red dead is total garbage. Ability cards, living in Marshmallow towns, to ridiculous spawns (behind you, in the middle of the other team, 50 miles out of the map) to the terrible play lists with teams colored the same or as close to it as possible. The crappy gun response, inconsistent shots from point blank range with shotguns to the grapple exchanges that leave both players open to be killed. I tried to like it, more than most games, because of the players I was with, but, nope. I can't do it. I was hoping for red dead 2 not gta old west. I have played too many pvp games that work near flawlessly to excuse the garbage that Rockstar released. I get it, they claim it is a beta, but gta plays the same way and has been out for years. These things will not improve and the Rockstar fanboys are too numerous to accept that their great company puts out overly monetized crap like this and won;t accept its many flaws and just cheer at the things that they like.

The single player of this game was fantastic.

The boring free roam where you need to sit and fish and hunt to make any money is good for some players but I prefer doing gang hideouts or missions which don't spawn near frequently enough.

Anyhow enough gripe. I am just really happy to have played with all of you. If anyone fancies some Overwatch I am up for it. I wish just having good friends in game was enough for me to keep playing something that is putting a more and more bitter taste in my mouth. Feel free to hit me up for other games when you get tired of grinding.

Thanks

Red Dead Online / FYI Private free roam is available
« on: December 10, 2018, 07:52:13 AM »
Just wanted to point out for those that don't know and are not interested in griefers and just want to fish or hunt in peace, you can get a private free roam very simply by doing a stranger mission. Make sure the stranger isn't named like bonnie or hector or something, just stranger. as long there is a cut scene in it, when you finish the mission you will be placed in s private free roam that no one else joins. great for cougar hunting or getting your bounty buckle etc.

I use the short scope on the varmint rifle. even when not in use it adds a little bit of accuracy to the weapon. When aiming down site it seems quite similar to the medium scope and seems to give a small boost in distance with the varmint.

bolt action is nothing like rdr 1. upgrades are good for accuracy and damage. focus on the varmint first it is cheap, then i would suggest to springfield or litchfield over the bolt action. bolt is good for hunting though

at the weapons store under customization you can choose where to add the varmint rifle, whether it is shoulder or back. equip to one of these to use in pvp.

I got this off of reddit. I know some people want to know where all the gang hideouts are so they can hit them up wherever they are on the map. Hope this helps some one else besides me.

Red Dead Redemption 2 / Thanks red dead 2
« on: December 04, 2018, 10:13:53 AM »
I almost always play solo in games until a couple months ago when Alphapug and I started playing some overwatch together here and there. Since red dead multiplayer has been active, I have barely played alone. People from the past have been pouring in and I am really enjoying interacting with other gamers again. My friends list is growing and I look forward to logging on and seeing who I will be partying up with. Had great games with Jester, Papa, Dev Slayer, Pug, Craigy, UTB, Violent Gent, and Meleana hope I missed no one, and look forward to playing with more people from these forums. Feel free to add me: Triphixa on xbox. If you see I am not in a party I will usually accept an invite into one. This game is meant to be played in a posse and playing with old friends has made me love rdr2 instead of just having complaints about its economy, pvp and griefing.

18
I spent the last half hour giving feedback on weapons, pvp, economy posse's etc. hopefully everyone takes the time to do this and rockstar/take two actually listen. The Ceo of take two has been recorded saying he wants gamers every nickel. I hope gamers can respond battlefront 2 style to let them know the economy and pay to win is unacceptable. money is fine for cosmetics it should not affect gameplay or give an advantage. Ability cards need to go back to the hell they spawned from and make it rank based.

Just a quick edit of my match against MaxPayneDev1 today. I am pretty sure I cut out all the stuff before the match but, I guess that message at the beginning stuck there lol. Oh well, not going to reupload it just for that.

Thyroid can definitely be a problem. The wife has had bouts with hyper thyroid which increases her metabolism. Makes her skinnier but also makes her talk faster, get hyper etc. Hypo thyroid has the reverse effect. Makes your metabolism plummet, vmakes you chubby and lethargic. Both can have hair loss problems. Doesn't hurt to see a doctor to get that checked. Also feel around in your neck on thecsides and see if you have any lumps. Not always present but possible.
