Take two said there will be no battle royale mode.

Wouldn't be surprised either way to be honest. Red Dead Redemption 2 won't "need" a battle royale mode to be super popular, but if they made one I am sure it would also be quite a popular mode to play. Whatever happens I'm sure the online component will be something they will look at turning into a 5 year game similar to GTAOnline.

Couple interesting points of note on this date:

- GTA San Andreas was also released 26th October, in 2004. This would mean Red Dead Redemption 2 gets released exactly 14 years later. Now we all know what a game changer San Andreas was in terms sheer map size and detail. Could we expect the same from RDR2?

- The date may also ring a bell with those familiar with a certain popular movie trilogy.

- Its also the date where the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral took place. The most famous shootout of the American Wild West.

Dear All,
We are excited to announce that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on October 26th 2018. We apologize to everyone disappointed by this delay. While we had hoped to have the game out sooner, we require a little extra time for polish.
We sincerely thank you for your patience and hope that when you get to play the game, you will agree the wait will have been worth it. In the meantime, please check out these screenshots from the game. We look forward to sharing a lot more information with you in the coming weeks.
With thanks,
Rockstar Games

The suspension and chassis are a bit firmer than a standard Fiesta, which drives great. It also has a turbo and 6 speed gearbox, which makes it accelerate quite fast (thumbsup2)

Mrs Roo is cancer free and also picking up a new Fiesta tomorrow coincidentally, hers is in the blue wave colour, not an RS like your sporty number but a Zetec.

Terrific news there about Mrs Roo. This kinda hits home at my mum has just started treatment for bowel cancer. It was caught really early so the outlook has been positive but its still scary you know.

If you believe the rumours we are likely to have it in May, if not earlier. But you know, Rockstar so you never know.

Lets try and put RDR2 behind us now, before we all go insane.

Oh its far too late to prevent THAT.

That clown is terrifying.

So I picked up GTAV during the Steam summer sale. I'm currently going through and replaying the story missions a bit but will probably jump into GTAOnline at some point. RIP my wallet.

Will probably also stream some of it too.

Did you all check out the E3 trailer for this game?  Looks pretty damn awesome!  Most def a game that you need to team up with friends. If I can afford to get it when it comes out I would like to team up with you, @Chalk .

For sure. I've been playing a fair bit of it on PC, and watching so many streams of people playing it on Mixer.

Okay, so someone tell me I'm crazy but I have ordered an Elgato capture card (the internal card) for use so I can easily stream from Xbox/PS4/Whatever with all of my overlays etc instead of the built in app. For the record I love the app and love how accessible its making streaming for everyone but I am thinking about doing some proper streaming in my spare time, and in order to use overlays and bots etc I need to stream from my PC. This however has one main issue, and that is that my upload speed is currently not good enough for streaming in FTL. This should be fixed sometime in the coming months as my internet gets upgraded as part of a national rollout but for the time being I will have to see how I go with just streaming with the 20s or so delay which Twitch and other platforms have.

Oh, and I've also ordered a green screen off eBay. This is when you know I may have gone too far.

Oh I forgot to mention. Yeah I'm totally famous and in their promo video for Mixer. Although the chat that is shown there obvious isn't from the picture they've put there. They've photoshopped the co-streaming videos in.

I'll update the links in the first post too. I've also realised that my internet may just not be able to deal with such an upload speed from my PC. Which is weird because it works fine on the Xbox but maybe that's more optimised or something. I'll have to continue to play around.

Some awesome new features have come with the rebranding. The one that excites me the most is costreaming. You no longer need to use an external site to watch a multistream. Mixer has it built in. When costreaming both channels (or up to the 4 channels) have their chat merged and everyone from both channels are chatting to each other.

I'll do up a bit of a post later on about the other stuff.

I just want Hold your own in RDR 2. That game mode was super fun.

It was a popular enough mode in RDR, was it not? Almost certain to be back in some form, surely.

Well its been debunked as a new MMO being developed called Wild West Online. Actually sounds like a cool idea so will be interesting to see how it develops.

It definitely looks like something we could expect from Red Dead Redemption 2. Even if its not, I'd still like to know what it is or where it came from. Looks pretty nice actually.

So I started playing Euro Truck Sim 2 again. Took me ages to get my controller to work because it seems Windows 10 sometimes has issues with the driver for this particular controller (Logitech F710). Eventually I was able to tell it to use the drivers for the Xbox 360 controller for Windows and that seems to work.
On my first real drive I totally kept forgetting about speed and got like 3 speeding tickets. Then I found the cruise control button. Still kinda annoying that they reduce the speed from 60 to 50, chuck in a quick speed camera, and then the limit goes back up to 60. Its pure entrapment I tell ya!

I am pretty sure I still have Euro Truck sim 2 on my steam account. I had no idea it had multiplayer. I mean, I haven't played it in years but I just might get back into it now. Albeit with a controller as I don't think my wheel will work. Plus its shite. My brother gave it to me when he was throwing away some "junk" he had acquired.

Hi guys,

We've just finished setting up a Beam Mixer Stream Team and would love you all to join us!

What is Mixer streaming?
Mixer is a streaming service like Twitch or Youtube which was acquired by Microsoft last year. Since then it has been started to be integrated into the Xbox One console as well as recent updates to Windows 10 PCs. What it may lack in current userbase and customisation of encoders etc to other options such as Twitch it more than makes up for in its simple and easy to use interface. Streaming has never been more accessible to the every day casual gamer.

Sounds great. What is a team used for though?
At this stage it doesn't seem like much but its just an easy way for you to see all your favourite streamers, see who is currently streaming, and be able to switch between them. I think a visual representation may help so check our this link.
As you can see we already have a few team members and you are free to click on each one and see what they are currently streaming. This feature is also used so that other gamers can see what teams you are on because if they like what you're streaming, the chances are they might like what the rest of your team are streaming.

Okay I'm sold, how do I join?
If you've got an Xbox Live account you're already half way there. You can use your Xbox Live account to log in straight away using those credentials. Otherwise just head to and hit the SIGN UP button in the top right corner. Go through all the usual sign up steps (email, password, etc) and you'll be good to go. You can even link your Xbox gamertag up later if you want.

What's the point though? Where do you see all this leading?
Good question. As we get closer and closer to the eventual release of Red Dead Redemption 2, I have some big plans for organised multiplayer events and competitions. Along with streaming I can see a MASSIVE opportunity to show the world. Remember last game when you were organising matches and had to start taking photos on your phone of the winning page to prove you won? Imagine if you could just have an audience watching live and being able to watch the video back later. As Mixer will keep your streams for a period of time you can go back and rewatch that amazing headshot you did. Download it to your PC so you'll always have that moment to brag.
And of course, all the videos of stagecoat boating.

Do you have any quotes from someone who is new to Mixer?
Why yes I do. What a coincidence!
"It's a nice change of pace being able to have the streaming capabilities right on your dash" - @oasis17
"Streaming has never been more accessible to the every day casual gamer." - @Chalk
"You'll never get a quote out of me" - @Cheese (probably)

So sign up, check out our team and be ready to start streaming.
