News, Politics & Religion / coal rollers
« on: July 18, 2014, 04:10:20 AM »
Holy shitsnacks! Any of you guys heard about these fuck-tards? They are called coal rollers, and what they do is modify their giant, douchey diesel trucks to bypass the fuel injector in the truck, and send a massive amount of fuel into the engine, which sends a giant plume of thick black smoke out of smoke stacks which they have installed themselves. This is controlled by the flip of a switch. They primarily use this to gas people driving prius's or riding bicycles. This is all in protest of EPA emission laws.

Now I am all for protesting anything you find unjust, but this is aggressive and violent, and hurts innocent bystanders. This shit could easily cause a wreck and kill someone. But these hillbillies don't seem to care.

Thoughts?

Here is an article from Newsweek:

OK...so who else is watching Fargo on FX? I watched the first episode last week and it was fucking incredible. I gotta say that i Have to rate the episode a ten. No flaws. This could be the replacement for Justified that I have been hoping for.

If you have seen it then I want to know what you thought. If you haven't seen it then watch last weeks episode immediately so you can watch tomorrow nights episode.

Is anyone else watching this on HBO? This show is fucking bananas! I know the first season is only 8 episodes, but it might rival Breaking Bad for best crime drama ever. I cannot believe how good mcconaughey is on this show. I have always though of him as a dipshit romantic comedy twat of an actor, but he outshines woody harrelson on this show, he is so fucking good! He might rival even Cranston's BB performance! He will for sure be winning an emmy this year. No question.

If you haven't seen the show, it is about two detectives who are newly partnered in Louisiana, played by mcconaughey and harrelson. And they are trying to solve the murder of a prostitute killed in a cultish fashion. It is hands down the darkest thing I have ever seen on TV by a wide mile! It's fuckin great!

If you haven't watched it yet, then do yourself a favor and check it out. Your mind will be blown!

Season 5 of Justified started last week. The 2nd episode is on tomorrow night. Who else is watching this show, and thinks it is probably the greatest show on TV right now? The dialogue is incredibly well written. I am so glad the show is finally back!

I am perplexed that the show is not more popular. I have posted about it on every board I belong to, and people either don't respond at all, or there are a couple responses from people who have never watched it but are interested. Bizarre!

Can't wait for tomorrow night!

General discussion / next installment

The more I think about it, the more I want RDR3 to be based around being an outlaw. Specifically around cattle rustling and bank robbery. If gtav is about bank heists then the next rdr can be the same only in the old west. Hopefully this will be the case. And hopefully we will get some news shortly after the release of gtav. Thoughts?

Site Suggestions & Bug Reports / how do we increase traffic?
« on: August 27, 2013, 04:47:42 AM »
This place clearly is going from an RDR to a Rock* forum now. But the traffic hasn't increased at all. We need to pull in GTA fans by making a section dedicated to it. This includes subsections dedicated to multiplayer, single player, gameplay etc. Just like we used to have with RDR. As it stands now we will not increase traffic and the release is just 3 weeks away. I only want this site to survive and so I believe something different needs to be done.

Who else has been watching this show? Tonight was the 3rd episode. I have loved them all so far. The perfect format for rogan. Tonight was especially good, talking about virtual reality and downloading consciousness to become immortal. I look forward to seeing what he discusses throughout the rest of the season.

Who else is seriously looking forward to this movie? I loved District 9 so much, and this sophomore effort from director Neil Blomkamp looks pretty great as well. After all...who doesn't love to see the overly rich get what they have coming to them?

If this movie foes well, and this guy continues to make awesome movies, he could be the real savior of the sci fi genre.

Does anyone else watch this show on FX? It is a brilliant modern day western series about a U.S. Marshall. IMO this is one of the best shows on television and is packed with western style action!

If you watch the show....sound off in this thread. Tonight's episode was fantastic!

Multiplayer General Discussion / Dueling Tournament
« on: March 01, 2013, 04:36:54 AM »

That's right folks, it's time for another dueling tournament. For those not familiar with the rules they are as follows:

1.) Chose your weapon. Either the Schofield revolver, the Volcanic pistol, or the Semi-automatic pistol.

2.) Stand across from your opponent 12 paces. Your place will be marked for you before the duel by the referee (me).

3.) With your gun in your holster, stand still and take your aim at your opponent.

4.) When the referee fires the shot then the competitors draw their guns and shoot.

5.) There is to be absolutely no moving during the duel. You must stand still until someone is dead. If someone moves it will be counted as a foul and the duel will be redone, regardless of whether or not someone died.

6.) The last person standing will be declared the winner of the duel, and advance to the next round.

The Winner will be declared the new RD.net dueling champion, of which KCjr is the current.

The tournament will take place on Saturday, March 9th at 3:30 P.M. Central U.S. time. That's 9:30 P.M. GMT for gunslingers from across the pond. We will start meeting up around 3:00 to prepare and start at 3:30 to give people time to arrive. I hope to see you there!

Forum Games / Poorly describe a movie
« on: February 25, 2013, 04:00:50 AM »
This is a game I play on another forum that I frequent, of which I will not name. What you do is you very poorly (or vaguely) describe a movie and whoever knows it gets to go next.

I will start.

Three gunslingers are searching for a treasure and the whole movie is people getting shot for about 2 hours and 45 minutes.

Anyone else think this movie looks good? This movie could be the spectacle of violence to see this year. I know I for one am looking forward to it. The trailer makes it look quite well made.

Just got back from seeing this. Might be my favorite Bond film so far. It certainly gives Casino Royale a run for it's money.

I particularly liked the home alone bit when they were booby trapping the manor for Silva and his crew. ;D

What do you guys think.

Multiplayer General Discussion / Stagecoach Robbery (PS3)

Reddead.net Stagecoach Robbery!

That's right everyone, it's time for another Stagecoach robbery. Interested, but haven't done one before? Well let me explain:

There are two teams: Lawmen and Outlaws. The lawmen's objective is to drive the 4 horse stagecoach from Blackwater to El Presidio with 2 checkpoints in between. The outlaws will try to rob the coach from the lawmen and drive it to Rathskellar Fork. The specific rules are as follows:

1.) There are 2 team captains. One for the lawmen and one for the outlaws. Once the room is finalized, then the two captains will take turns picking participants for their team.
2.) After that is done, I will go get the stagecoach and the gatling gun wagon from Co-Op and bring them back to Blackwater.
3.) The lawmen will start at Blackwater and attempt to bring the stagecoach (gatling wagon is not necessary to win) to El Presidio with 2 checkpoints in-between. The checkpoints will be at Armadillo and Chuparosa. When the lawmen arrive at a checkpoint the outlaws must stop their attack and go to their designated starting point for the next drive.
4.) The outlaw team will start at Bearclaw Camp, and when they receive the word that the lawmen have left Armadillo, they can take off after them. Once the lawmen reach Armadillo the outlaws will then regroup at Sollomon's Folly and wait for the Lawmen's next signal. Once the lawmen reach Chuparosa the outlaws will regroup at El Matadero and wait for the next signal.
5.) If the outlaws capture the wagon at any point then they must drive it to Rathskellar Fork, at which point they will win the match.
6.) Do not shoot the horses.
7.) No dynamite, no fire-bottles, and refrain from using deadeye if possible, because it will be very easy to kill the horses while in deadeye by mistake.
8.) Mini-maps and overhead icons must be turned off.

Weapons:

Lawmen:
1.) Schofield revolver
2.) Double barrel shotgun
3.) Henry Repeater
4.) Springfield rifle
5.) Gatling-gun wagon

Outlaws:
1.) Double-action revolver
2.) Sawed off shotgun
3.) Winchester repeater
4.) Bolt-action rifle
5.) Throwing knives, or tomahawks if you choose to dress as a native american.
6.) One outlaw, chosen before the match starts, will get to use the Rolling block rifle.

Once I leave to go get the coaches, everyone else will go to the outfitter to change into their respective teams. If you're a lawmen, you can dress as any lawman you want to, and if you're an outlaw you can dress as anyone who is not wearing a badge. This will be very important to tell who's on what team with the icons turned off.

This event will be next Saturday, May 12th at 3:00 P.M. Central U.S. time, which is 8:00 P.M. GMT. I really hope to see you there. And to get you excited about it....here's the scene that inspired the game:

Anybody heard of Dust 514? I think it's supposed to be out in the next couple months. It's an MMOFPS set in the EVE online universe. It seems alot like MAG, but with that futuristic sci-fi edge that makes it look attractive to me. It's completely free to play and it looks pretty epic. Here's an extended look at it.....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e92Wpt7_RV8

I am pretty sure they are fighting bots in this demo, but I think that it's going to be primarily PvP once it's released. I'm pretty interested. For absolutely free....I'm not sure you could get a better value.

What do you guys think?

Red Dead Redemption Dueling Tournament

Yes my friends, it is time again for another dueling tournament. Want to test your aim and your speed in this most classic of wild western style standoffs? Then this competition is for you. The rules for the tournament are as follows....

1.) Chose your weapon. Either the Schofield revolver or the Volcanic pistol.

2.) Stand across from your opponent 12 paces. Your place will be marked for you before the duel by the referee (me).

3.) With your gun in your holster, stand still and take your aim at your opponent.

6.) The last person standing will be declared the winner of the duel, and advance to the next round.

The Winner will be declared the new RD.net dueling champion, of which FinnPup is the current.

The tournament will take place on Saturday April 21st at 2:30 P.M. Central U.S. time. That's 7:30 P.M. GMT for gunslingers from across the pond. We will start meeting up around 2:00 to prepare and start at 2:30 to give people time to arrive. I hope to see you there!

I love Modnation Racers, but I love LBP too. So this game looks pretty great to me. Could finally be the Mario kart replacement I've been looking for. Since Mario Kart wii sucked a big chode. Blue shells can get fucked!

Thoughts on this?
