The Saloon (Off Topic) / PS3 slim cracking noise
« on: October 22, 2011, 03:49:24 PM »
This thread is only for slim users.

Any way to reduce or end the cracks the plastic of PS3 do when turned off/on or during the gameplay?

Well, I heard the noise will go away eventually after months of use...

Any ideas are welcome:shy:

Gameplay / Best town to roleplay a cliche cowboy
« on: October 18, 2011, 01:23:54 PM »
So this is the subject of the thread.

I mean: what would be your stationary home, your place to return to, the best town for an old western cowboy?

I would prefer escalera due to the environment, but sometimes the framerate of the game goes down in there, which is a pain in the ass.

I thought about cochinay to, but it lacks of a room.

Blackwater it too modern and fancy...

So, what do you think guys?

General discussion / Curious fact about RDR on PS3
« on: October 15, 2011, 06:58:59 PM »
The reason I started this thread is simple: the tiny information (500 MB) this game puts on the hard drive of the PS3.

I think they would have done better if they had put more "cache" in the installation of the game in this console.

I mean, it's loading all the time!!! And in PS3 slim the noise of the spinning disc is noticeable, which doens't happen in games such as Oblivion.

So, what is your opinion?

The Saloon (Off Topic) / Firmware 3.30 error
« on: October 08, 2011, 04:53:53 AM »
So, my all new PS3 slim 250GB arrived 2 days ago (my old fat PS3 was damaged due to improper shutdowns).

Well, I'll take care of this one like a baby!!!

But, when I putted the RDR disc inside of it, I was asked to install the firmware 3.30.

When it was about 40% of instalation, the system found a error and told me to shut it down safely on the front button and then to unplug it, so I could try to install again a few minutes later.

I've done that and the problem was solved.

But why have this happened? Is this a common problem? There's something wrong with my system?

Please answer, I think it's alright now but I want to be sure...

The Saloon (Off Topic) / Healthy PS3?
« on: February 20, 2011, 04:11:37 PM »
So, in the past, I used to play Oblivion on my PS3. If you know that game, you probably know that it has casual freezes and glitches.

When a freeze happened, I used to shut down the system on the power button (happened 5 - 7 times).

My question is: how do I know if my PS3 is healthy?

It works perfectly in my opinion, but I wanted to be sure.

Any help would be appreciated.

General discussion / Where's the glitchy game?
« on: January 03, 2011, 10:56:08 AM »
I received RDR for PS3 about 2 weeks ago (I have 50 hours of gameplay). It's truly a great game.

So, before I received it, I had been warned by my friends about the common glitches in Red Dead Redemption.

Now I ask: where are they?

I've only noticed the textures glitch in a poker game (only 1 time) and a man going through the scenario (a real WTF moment) in 50 hours of gameplay!

Flying man? Horse-woman? Wild horses with wagons? WHERE?

Ahhh... you guys should take 5 hours in Fallout New Vegas. I'm telling you: you would never say that RDR is buggy.

General discussion / Getting Undead Nightmare
« on: November 11, 2010, 09:51:42 AM »
I'm getting Red Dead Redemption this Christmas.

There's only a little problem: I'm a PS3 player and I want the DLC "Undead Nightmare" too but I don't have net connection on my PS3 system.

So, is there some other way to get it? Collector's Edition has already been released?

Any help would be appreciated!
