I’m not far into it. I just met the witch with the magic boar. I live it so far. The combat is satis, the lore is a highlight for me and it’s a gorgeous game. I love Norse mythology, but when I heard Kratos in Viking land I was skeptical, but I’m all in now. The only reason I’m taking my time is that I like to play with the sound cranked up, so I don’t play late. I can’t wait to play more today.

The Phoenix Templars will be alerted.

Haha Yeah you got me.

I hope the vids take off but who knows I'm just going to keep it up as a hobbie and for those who are interested can hopefully join the ride.

Unfortunately, I can't use Adsense to earn. The adverts are because Take Two Interactive hit me with a copyright infringement so the adverts are there for that reason. Otherwise you could have your share Mrs Marston.

As for Forum tax. I think that's a stretch. I mean say I was to get a million views. That's at least half of that audience coming here to see the forum. I should charge for Forum promotion. Lol.
Aup, is that a brummie accent I detect? Alright Bab?

If that video gets millions of views then you need to pay Mrs M her share of the ad revenue so that she can buy a PS4.

I have underwear that’s older than RDR. Not twice as old, but a few years older. Does that make me old?

Well, studded leather is very long-wearing.

Well, a few of the people who used to post here were 15 years old at that time. I’ve digitally bumped into a couple and they’re 23 now with a spouse and a kid and a job and no time to post like that used to. They’ve said it seems like a lifetime ago that they played the first game. When you’re old like me I think things like “I have a nice windbreaker I still wear that’s twice as old as this game.”

Nothing wrong with a thread resting up for 6 years or so.

I know that everyone plays games differently and many will play the single player straight through before firing up multiplayer and that’s great, but there’s something to be said for dipping your toe early. One of my best gaming memories is from the first week or so of RDR online. It was so new and exciting and no one knew much so people were just riding around together seeing the sights. Someone found a waterfall! Let’s go check it out. We can ride anywhere on the map! Mexico trip! People seemed friendlier and didn’t just camp and snipe you at spawn. I hope we see a similar grace period this time.

I’ll be there. Only downside is that I’m on vacation the first weekend it comes out and will be gone for 2 weeks. After that I’m all in. It’s looking so good.

My body is ready.

That’s amore. Very cool. I’m jealous.

Been wondering what old bill has been up to...

Well, Xbox game pass is $1 for a one month trial and sea of thieves is included and is cross playable between Xbox  and windows 10. So for 2 bucks you could play at least one fun game together for a month!

I’m trying to avoid spoilers. I’ll probably get this in a couple weeks for my birthday. I never played 3, but my PS3 was backwards compatible so I played 1 and 2. In other news there should be a demo for Detroit:Become Human tomorrow.

The lads at Digital Foundry are on the ball. The definitive way to play RDR.

It’s a steady 30 FPS now. I’ve heard that places like thieves’ landing that had frame rate issues are now solid. This is all Microsoft’s doing. Their BC team works on this stuff and when they have it finished they show the publisher and ask to release it. I see people on Twitter pissed at Rockstar for not doing this for the PS4, but it’s not their fault. Having said that the game looks terrific. Everything is much cleaner and more defined. I started a new playthrough and this was a very nice surprise.

I haven’t had a chance to update my game yet, but RDR has been enhanced for the Xbox one X and now rounds in 4K. Can’t wait to check this out.

From Ars Technica:

“The arguable biggest news of the day is that Red Dead Redemption's Xbox 360 version has now been patched to take advantage of Xbox One X hardware. That means, like other Xbox 360 games given the X treatment, RDR will now render at nine times its original 720p resolution. Should you have a 4K TV, an Xbox One X, and a copy of RDR, you'll be able to play the game at 3840x2160 pixel resolution once its patch launches sometime today.”
