I need an invite. I dropped RRRRRRR for SRSI when you were all using that. We had a hacker give us a cool logo. I think her name was Kazz... something. We used it for a long time, but then it came up as “emblem exploit detected” and I couldn’t use it anymore. I’d say within the next couple of days you’ll need to plug that phone in.

Only Cas can invite at the minute mate, hopefully she'll sort out the hierarchy,   my phone is powered by pure sex appeal

hence the 1% battery...

Well I was in the social club crew. I think it was called RRRRRRRRR. Casteyn’s keyboard got stuck when she was creating it. On that subject you guys need to show some love to that crew. I know most joined Uca’s SRS crew, but you should have the Sextupe R one ready for launch. Commissioners, lieutenants, etc are lacking. We don’t know what RDR will add, but in GTAO you could change crew titles based on rank in the game, and set a crew gesture. I think that might be in RDO. Hat tip, spit, finger gun, line dance could all be emotes. (All stolen from McCree) I hope we get some teasers soon.

Yes you represent RRRRRRRRRRRRRR on Max Payne 3 , thanks for reminding me re the crew set up , I have asked Casey to appoint some underlings , I remember I paid a hacker to upload an amazing crew emblem for the SRS crew but couldn’t get him access to RRRRRRRRRRRR

Here’s how it looked:

I had the honor of working as a voice actor on RDR2. It was my first experience working on a video game (as long as you don’t count my work as Alligator #2 in Pitfall on the Atari 2600). The main character I play is the shopkeeper in Valentine.

Apparently my voice was used for other characters in the game, but the nature of the project is that I wasn’t given much info about where those characters would be found. I’m also not much of a gamer outside of playing LEGO superhero games with my kids on the PS4.

I’d love to know where else my voice might pop up in the game. Anyone feel like going on a scavenger hunt while they play? I’d be right grateful.

Sounds interesting, I'll see what I can turn up.  I noticed they used some voice actors from my home country (Northern Ireland) for the O'Driscoll gang. Do any of your lines stand out , were they it generic comments such as - "Howdy Pardner" etc. or something more specific like " get off your milk and drink your horse?"   (seedy)

I added you PapaBear, but you’re a distant second in the RRR gamer tag race. UTB has had RRR utb1528 for years now.

Join us pug, you should be rrRalph a pug ?

So I went ahead and posted a RRR application in the Posse Recruitment: PS3 section in the forum. I'm not sure if it was the right thread and if recruitment is even open but I just thought I'd let you guys know!

You get my vote, do I get a second?

PB , next time you are getting nailed noob.

Hahaha, let the shit talking begin, i love it and damn i cant wait for the beta release. We will need to do more of thoses one-on-one matches 😁

Just make sure u can dive this time and not roll.

PapaB right now:

Red Dead Redemption 2 / Re: Masks/Bandana ineffective

From what I’ve read, sometimes the bandana just isn’t enough.  You can actually change clothes and use masks, and you must do so out of sight, and you won’t be recognized.   It’s mostly a case of rockstar being too over the top ridiculous with the detail.  Someone should have grabbed their hand and said ‘guys, it’s just a game’

I agree with you Fish. Some of the stuff is just TOO real. Just imagine if you had to stop and get gas in GTAV?

Also the whole skinning animation is a bit OTT , but I had to draw the line at having to remove smega from my horse's knob.  (sulk)

Have been busy last couple days. Today, I played, tried my hand at a train robbery. Rode out of the wilderness, managed to get on the train without being spotted (not intentional), punched out a guard (earned me a $60 bounty for some reason), then shotgunned a guard after stopping train and shoving conductor out (shotgunning earned another $50).
Law showed up while I was having my 'wth?' moment. Didn't get a bounty for blasting them. Managed to escape the reinforcements.
Wore bandana from the beginning. How did they know who he was? Love everything about the game, except mask effectiveness.
Am I doing it wrong? Is there a better time to put it on? Or is it see through?

Tips or advice, or just learning this is happening after an unseen update. Something.
Thanks in advance incase I don't respond promptly, and you were helpful.

Apparently this is what NPCs see

Red Dead Redemption 2 / Re: Manual saves are still not reliable.
« on: November 15, 2018, 07:49:59 AM »
I was looking for the white Araibian. Found the right location and was looking right at it on my binoculars. Saved the game manually right there.

Turned off auto save as well. The horse ran away after a looooong time slowly approaching it. I went back to my previous save. And they despawned the horse. It was nowhere to be found period. Spent a real life hour circling the lake.

So yeah, Rockstar thought of everything. And made sure that manual saves don't actually save your game. They just save your gear and maybe the horses you own. But save your game? Spawn you back in the location and time that you saved in? No they aren't going to let you do that.

So I'm definitely not getting that horse. There's no way it's worth it. The time and frustration far outweighs any good stats.

Believe it or not for the horse to respawn after a failed attempt to tame it you will need to totally exit the game and reload your save, try lassoing it and spam the calm button, my white Arabian got shoot up with a gattling gun recently so I purposed the black Arabian from the St Denis Stables.

It says to lightly hold R2 and then press it fully, but when I do that it just restarts the animation for filling the meter again. Anyone else experiencing this?

I found it's best to not to worry about the meter, just hit the R2 get the gun up and the enemy down.  (guitar)

I met a dying guy who gave me a letter for 'the love of his life' living at McFarlane's Ranch. Maybe he meant Bonnie? I can't remember anyone else female there. I assume they will open the rest of the map over time, possibly as story additions or just in MP.

Pic of said letter:

Has anyone else had the unwinnable fist fight? I  fought an NPC for ages in the main street of Valentine and he must have had a chin made from granite, couldn't knock him out.

I met a weird guy in the bayou. He invited me in for food, then bashed me over the head and had his way with my unconscious body. He’s dead now but wtaf??!!

R* again pushing the boundaries of what's OK in video games. Have heard about this, but haven't been lucky enough to experience it. THIS directly taken from a Quentin Tarantino. "Zed, is dead"

Have you had the "pleasure" of sitting down to dinner with the incestuous brother and sister, "from the womb to the tomb"...  (3some)

From Forbes:

Resolution and its knock-on effects

Rockstar’s graphics and art teams pulled off something rarely seen in this console generation. RDR2 does not make use of dynamic resolution scaling on any of the consoles and the game renders in full 4K (3840 x 2160) on the One X. You read that correctly. The entire game is displayed in full 4K on the One X. None of the other consoles come close. Here are the resolutions for each console along with a direct comparison expressed as a percentage of full 4K.

I didn’t think it would happen, but Rockstar did it and it’s a definitely a showstopper. Red Dead Redemption II on the One X is so far beyond the other consoles that the world is waking up to something players who care about performance and visual quality have recognized and enjoyed since Microsoft’s flagship console debuted a year ago. Almost without exception, cross-platform games look and play better on the One X.

Red Dead Redemption II takes the superiority of the One X to another level. The game is beautiful and performs very well on the Pro. No doubt. But it performs marginally but consistently better and looks a whole lot better on the One X. If you have a One X, there’s no reason to play RDR2 on any other console. If you don’t have a One X, RDR2 gives you a good reason to buy one. With next-gen consoles forecast to appear in a year or two, Red Dead Redemption II on the Xbox One X may come to be seen as the high point of the current console generation.

Fascinating article,  we often don't appreciate the technical details of making a game look the way it does, it sounds like R* really surpassed themselves, it's definitely the best looking game I ever played.

Red Dead Redemption 2 / Re: Multiplayer mode?

What gamemodes will you be playing?

I’ll be playing mostly competitive matches and a little free roam. Not much for co op as most games are too easy but I’ll probably knock all of those out with a buddy or two. Also I’ll be playing poker, and horse racing if they have it. Maybe a duel mode too? Of course battle royale if they got it. What about a prize fighting mode?

Hopefully FFA and Gang Wars.

. Having the ability to start matches with different (and vastly superior load outs) is dumb. One the things that attracted me to RDR1 MP was that no matter how much you played, you still started out each match with the exact same weapons.

Point taken, I liked the mechanics of Max Payne 3 MP , the load out unlocking was frustrating.

It really depends on how they do it.  I loved gang matches in RDR, played them for 5 years or so, but I hated TDM in GTA 5. It was terrible.  So hopefully they don’t screw it up.

yes, Red Dead MP was excellent , Max Payne Mp was very good, but they really dropped the ball with GTAV, the proof will be in the pudding but a trailer would be most welcome so we can get an insight.

Here is some updated info about what you get when you upgrade to an X. There have been trade in deals to die for lately. Take the plunge.

I love mine, I couldn’t believe the difference 4K made to Red Dead. The new game looks stunning.

That’s it , next year I’m saving for a 4K and Xbox X.
