I wish I could be interested in a game long enough to play for 19 hours. I have a short attention span I guess.
If I played 19 hours in one session, a lot of responsibilities would go straight out the window...

Multiplayer General Discussion / Re: Capture Card Question
« on: October 02, 2013, 09:08:10 AM »
My capture card changes the resolution from 1080p to 1080i(for my flat-screen tv), but that does not matter too much because most games including RDR are in 720p.  But yeah, it does slightly reduce the resolution.
If your new capture device does not change your tv res. then that is awesome along with the playback thingy.
Pay attention to what the resolution is, obviously 1080p is best, if its 1080i or worse than it will not look nearly as sharp or good, colors are not even close in 1080i compared to 1080p.

Grand Theft Auto V / Re: 16 radio stations, no metal.

Yeah, channel "X" is mostly hard-core punk from the early 80's...which I love.  Your best bet is the Vinewood Blvd. station(cant remember exactly what it is), but its not really metal, its more like what the Whiskey in LA plays now days.  Some of it is pretty hard but 'probly not fast enough for your taste.
I could listen to a metal station, even though I'm not as much into it as I used to be.  I'm one of those that think "nu-metal" killed it and haven't really found anything new that's good since before nu-metal....I hate nu-metal.
One of my fave metal bands...Thought Industry...
If you have not heard them, look 'em up.

Grand Theft Auto V / Re: Missions/events dont pay
« on: September 19, 2013, 07:22:22 PM »
I'm sure I have not received a reward either, so I just started to keep the wallets and purses.

After the first few attempts to do the right thing, and getting stiffed for it, I also started keeping purses too. I still only have like $1000, mostly from robbing convenience stores. Can't get too many lap dances with that, so maybe I should find a more efficient way of raising some coin.
You 'probly already know, once you start putting together heist, you should have plenty for endless lap-dances!

I also found, if you run into your safehouse, Franklin will tell Chop to go home.

Grand Theft Auto V / Re: Can you switch your aim??
« on: September 19, 2013, 07:15:50 PM »
Can you imagine online free aim, everyone will be running around the right side of buildings, no one will go left...lmfao!
That has got to change, no way R* didn't think about leaving that out.  I would like to hear the reason they did.
Although, I am finding using cover and cover fire is more useful in GTAV, but I still want my aim option to go left.

Grand Theft Auto V / Can you switch your aim??
« on: September 18, 2013, 06:51:30 PM »
For the life of me I can't figure out how to switch your crosshair aim from the right side of your character to your left.  I play free aim so this would be very helpful.  It seems the only time I can do it is when I'm in cover, if I go to the right, that's where the aim reticule is, if I go to the left it will switch but that's only if I'm using cover as I already stated.
Playing free aim, I really need to be able to switch when I'm not using cover and, playing free aim you don't have to use cover very if anyone can help me, I would appreciate it ;)

Its like being at work when someone annoys you when someone annoys me at work, I just stay stay away from them for an hour to have a little rage and a scream up then I am over it everything tickety-boo again :)

I absolutely love this post!

Hints, Tips, Guides and Walkthroughs / Re: ~~ Honor & Fame System ~~
« on: July 07, 2013, 12:26:05 PM »
Found this on another forum:

A friend of mine was telling me his sister has been playing a real mean outlaw, shooting up towns and killing everyone she meets, and she got a horse for it. A scarred up horse that's missing an eye.

Anyone else have this happen?

EDIT nm just found this in the OP:

Special black horse responds to your whistles as long as you stay below Drifter Rank.
Yeah, I have a game save for sp that I keep at the lowest honor to keep this horse.  Horse seems to take a lot of damage, but its slow.

Gameplay / Re: Werewolf Hunting Team
« on: July 07, 2013, 12:12:43 PM »
While I doubt you guys will find anything there, who knows what you might find. While I won't be able to join you, I will give you this tip: don't go by horse. Get a stagecoach, park it in Tall trees and wait. Wild animals will not be able to kill the horses of a stagecoach and thus you are safe. As for werewolves, no idea how it fares against that.

For those wondering what this is about, someone released this picture quite some time ago:

People immediately went to look for evidence. Someone later uploaded this photo for confirmation:

Big derp because this is the first werewolf pic you find on google is clearly the same one, so it's confirmed to be fake:
(Image removed from quote.)
The first pic however, still has many theories. Some believe it's real, others think it's a glitch like a deer texture on a wolf model or vice versa.

Either way I hope all of you have a fun time camping it out there, and if it doesn't yield any results, at least you'll always have the thrill of the hunt!

They both look like the same fake pic to me.  The first one is mirrored the other way and behind the tree, but there is no difference.

Gameplay / Re: Rooftop Chilling/ Horseback Trainchilling
« on: July 07, 2013, 12:02:40 PM »
V, did you see the new Lone Ranger movie?  There is some definite roof-top and train-top chilling going on by the Lone Ranger and his trusty horse Silver!  I got a huge kick out of that scene.

I only have to make +1,000 dollars to unlock this game and i am -3421 dollars. What is the easiest way to get money from gambling any hints or tips?
Find the game that you win easiest at and play that till you get the message.  For me its poker.  Use the outfit to cheat at poker and grab that extra card to take an advantage.  everytime you take out the whole table, save the game.  if you lose, immediately pause the game and go to your save to restart from where you last left off.

Hints, Tips, Guides and Walkthroughs / Re: Hunting Elk problem
« on: July 07, 2013, 11:52:38 AM »
If you keep getting into trouble, learn to use your horse...
...stay on your horse and always stay on the move to stay away from grizzly attacks.  If you get attacked, your horse will give you time by dying and you can either run away or shoot the grizzly down.  Running and rolling and changing direction at the right time will keep you alive against any predatory animal in RDR!  Tomahawks seem to be an easy kill on the giant bears!  Try that by throwing them into their heads.

There are a lot of elk near Manzanita Post and if you get into trouble you could retreat back to the post quickly.

Got the Queens of the Stone Ages new album "...Like Clockwork" today, really diggin it too.
Wait, what???  When did QOTSA put out a new album?  I'm still stuck on Them Crooked Vultures, Eagles Of Death Metal, and the last Dessert Sessions waiting for the Queens to finally put something new out, and here it is right under my nose apparently...
