Red Dead Online / Re: Let's get in here and be honest for a minute....

What they need to add is private/invite only sessions!  I keep hearing hints and rumors and I hope they are true! That's THE only thing that will open up creative things to do with friends without griefers ruining your activities. The addition of Rockstar Editor to story and/or online would be great along with a good photo mode!

It's really a shame that they didn't include private sessions from the start...maybe so many people wouldn't have dropped online.

Sile, I really don't like grinding all that much either, it gets so boring after a while! All that work you have to do for the trader role...hunting, getting supplies and waiting for the product to build up only to have it destroyed in a matter of minutes by some tryhard!  I think you would like the collector role (that's my favorite) you can collect items as you go or follow a map (online). You can sell them individually or in collections. It's a really fast way to rank up and make good money with little effort! If you get shot by a griefer while doing it, they can't steal your stuff you collected.

If you have Game Pass on Xbox, they just added some new of which I downloaded last night: My Friend Pedro. It's a side scroller and I remember hearing about it on PC. I think it's $19.99 if you buy it and it's only 3 or 4 GB's. I don't really like side scrollers, but I wanted to give it a try. It's kind of arcade-y, but it's sooooo addicting and the music is pretty cool.

Now THIS is creative! If this doesn't get anyone interested in DS... I don't know what will!

I know...I would love to post more...but I feel like I'm "talking" to no one...except maybe 3 or 4 still come by to read/reply. But, what are ya gonna do? It's a busy time of year right now anyways.

I appreciate you posting stuff, Ferg!  (thumbsup2)

Thought there was a topic on this there is!

Was really skeptical about getting this game due to all the mixed reviews.  So, I rented it for the weekend not too long ago and just fell in love with it!  But, I get what some are saying that it's not for everyone and you will either love it or hate it. l guess it just depends on your play style.

It's not just a Fed Ex or walking's sooo much more.  The story has me intrigued, the graphics are stunning and even though it is a single player game, you are still interacting with other players....helping each other build roads, bridges and other structures.  You can post little signs as hints or encouragement for other players to see. And the "likes" from game characters as well as other players is fun and rewarding!  Amazing game...and I've never played a game from this developer before!

I bought it through a RedBox sale for only $45...could not find it anywhere for Black Friday!

Now that I finally have a PS4, this game is on my wish list! Probably get it soon I can add it to my backlog of games that I want to play but never get around to it! LOL!

Finally bought this thru the Xbox store on that black Friday sale they was like $30...had a $20 gift card I won, so I only had to pay $10 for it!

Anyone playing it? It's a good game if you're like me and don't want something that's too difficult and you can get by going solo but it still has the right amount of challenging missions.

So glad they got rid of the 3 stooges (AI helpers) when going solo!

There was a time when I couldn't find a treasure map outside of ranking up every 5 levels or looting one on a corpse.  Now, I can't seem to get rid of them! LOL!  I must have over 20 maps now including some duplicates waiting at the post office/camp box.  I get to doing some of them and then I get some more!  Between getting maps from leveling up super fast with the collector role and finding maps in random places...I seem to have an endless supply lately....not that that's a bad thing!

Looking forward to the new outlaw pass and new moonshiner role!  But, I don't think it will top the collector role for ranking up and making the best money!

Red Dead Online / Is Rockstar adding more roles???
« on: November 19, 2019, 02:13:43 PM »
Made an observation...didn't hear any rumors, but they did say that they would be adding more roles in the future. Go to the social club and the overview for your online character....the section where it has the roles listed has been expanded to make room for the possibility of more roles. Maybe?

Question is...when?

The Saloon (Off Topic) / Re: Which former member do you miss the most?
« on: October 21, 2019, 01:52:48 PM »
i miss them all but time moves on ... i'd have to say that back in the day Red Dead Redemption was something very new in gaming and had no real rivals.  if you take a look at what we have today although Red Dead Redemption 2 is for the most part the only western open world game there are so many more choices today with loads of new games coming out at a fairly steady rate ... it make things a bit more difficult to be dedicated to a single game when we have so much to choose from ... i just think that a single game no longer has the power to pull folks in like the first Red Dead Redemption did because it was so ground breaking and had no real competition ... yup we had it all back in the day ... and who knows what the future holds for gamers and the gaming communities ...

I think you are absolutely right, Will...that makes perfect sense and I never really thought about that.

BUT, ever since I switched to Playstation....the Red Dead community is much different from what I've seen. People are more active, friendly and are enjoying Red Dead Online to it's fullest.  It was only my 2nd day online and I was able to join up with a friend and we had a posse of 5 going. They were all high levels but they took some time to help me level up a bit.  It was so nice!

Hopefully as Rockstar adds more content....maybe people will come back to the game.  I know that I was always complaining about it and now I love it!

As for the forums, I don't's really a shame.  I do know that the spammers/bots are enjoying the forums...they are the most active. LOL!

If you’re feeling nostalgic, PS Now has a free 7 day trial. You can play RDR 1 and you can visit the mythical PS3 exclusive hideout Solomon’s Folly. It was the first place I visited when I played. LoL

I went ahead and got the 7 day trial....can you download the games from your PC or do you need to do it thru the console?

Hmm, that's interesting...kinda like game sharing on Xbox and you can share Live.

Well, I bit the bullet and got RDR2 on sale through the PS Store with my 2 week trial PSN Plus membership!  It's a good start anyway.

I would actually do that now that I know Ferg loves Fortnite.....lucky for him I wouldn't play it if it was the last video game left on earth!

But, that's weird you can play it without having I'm confused...I thought Plus is for multiplayer games?

What other online games can you play without Plus...or where could I find out?

Ugh, gonna have to wait maybe another 2 - 3 weeks, unfortunately. Even though both of those are great's still a lot of money for someone on limited income. That extra money will be coming soon....hopefully I can still find those good prices.

Stand by, guys...will keep you all updated!

I do have the console!  A friend upgraded to the Pro and gave me his 1TB Slim!  I couldn't believe it!!!!  I'm trying to get both RDR2 and PS Plus....hoping by this Friday. But, then again I could just get RDR2 and start the 2 week trial until I can get a year membership. We'll see how it goes....

Not at all interested in The Last of Us (for reasons I won't elaborate on)...but, Days Gone is definitely on my wish list! And of course as soon as I get online I will join the forum community!
