so many shallow activities in a beautiful playground.

RDO in a nutshell!

Max Payne 3 should be back compat by now!

Anyone planning on getting Cyberpunk or Assassin's Creed Valhalla?

Thinking about it...both look interesting to me. Might not be on day 1 but both will be on my wishlist.

I didn't expect anything mind-blowing from this "massive" update they almost 5gb update!  What a bunch of bs!  So, I guess I got what I expected and wasn't as disappointed this time around.  So sad.

On the bright side, I am glad that they added a gun locker at camp and the ability to access your cooked meat in the item wheel in story mode!  Still lovin' story mode!

Pretty sad to see that the only activity at this place is a few of us complaining about RDR! is what it is.

Yea, but....I hope the zombies are like the Walking Dead ones...slow and stupid and not like Undead Nightmare's zombies that are fast and spit that green stuff at you! LOL!

I had to ask I friend I know that works in the grocery store to get us some tp, since it got scarfed up by a pack of hungry wolves as soon as it goes on the shelves.  Even limiting it to one per household doesn't slow down the panic buying!  It was like doing a drug deal when we went to pay back the friend...."you got the tp?'s the cash!" LOL!!!

First and foremost, I sincerely hope that everyone is doing well during this virus outbreak. And whatever you are doing if you are in quarantine, that it hasn't got you down and you are doing something productive or creative to keep your spirits and sanity going strong! If you are home as a result of cut work hours...what a perfect time to catch up on gaming and any backlog you may have!  With that said, I have something to ask all of you.........

Being that RDO is completely dead now and this forum is even deader (is that a word?lol) I do hope that someone is reading this and will help me to pass it on to members and friends of the RDR community!   This will be my last attempt to getting everyone (or some) back to playing RDO....I have an idea and if it doesn't work...I won't bother you guys ever again.  Here goes....

Some of you may or may not know about a (sort of) glitch that can create a private public lobby on RDO. I have been doing this the last couple of days and it's been GREAT!  The lobby runs smoothly LOTS of stuff spawns regularly and you have the peace of mind of a grief-free session! Do I have your attention?  Keep reading.....

A while back before online came out Chalk had a great idea for tournaments, but it never took off...mostly due to no interest and the fact that Rockstar omitted the option of private lobbies!  Well now, I think we can make this happen....or at least have a couple of meetups.....or whatever.... using this private lobby glitch!  If you still play RDO and if you were hoping that Rockstar adds private sessions or someone comes up with a 100% full-proof, permanent private lobby glitch....this is the time to get back playing and get together with friends! I know some of you are already leveled up and have bought everything in the game...bla, bluh, blah!  So what?! Get off yer arses and at least get together once in a while to play this game. Reinstall it if you have to!

I will try to post a message like this on other social media we have as well as in the Xbox club and PS4 community. If and that's a big IF, people are interested in the glitch and getting together once in a while...I am willing to host sessions on either Xbox or PS4. I have a second xbox and account so, I don't need help doing the glitch, but on PS4, I would need at least one other person to help me and that person can stay for 5 minutes or 5 hours and/or get re-invited back to that private session.

Requirements:  you must have access to poker and only up to 6 people can be in each private session. You can do everything you normally do in a free roam session except story missions, Legendary bounties or PvP modes or anything that takes you out of that session. But, you can still do those and get an invite back to the private session if you wish.

If you've read this far...thank you and I hope you at least consider dusting off your saddles and getting back to playing RDO again...before this glitch gets patched!

Whatever you do, have a great day and stay well!

I have been thinking about dusting off my old RDR disc.

Send me a msg if you guys do get together for some RDR.  Wouldn't hurt to also send it thru the RDF Xbox club, Facebook, Discord, Twitter and here.  If you want, I can help send those messages to see if anyone's interested.....

I'd love to see a RDR revival...lord knows RDO is deader than dead.

There is a new way (on RDO) to glitch off the map, too.....I bet we could get people interested in that.  You need at least a posse of 2 to do's super easy!

I will not deny that RDO has been broken from the start! The addition of microtransactions and Rockstar pushing gold purchases are not what everyone wanted and turned many players away...which was very disappointing and unfortunate.  I admit I have been very negative about online for a long time...but, deep down I am still hoping it can make a turnaround.  RDO has SO MUCH potential for being the game everyone loves!  The roles have been a big improvement. Yes, it is a big grind...but what game isn't? Yea, some games are more grindy than others and RDO is right there at the top. I usually give RDO a break to play other games like GTAV and I am totally enjoying Death Stranding...I play some silly mindless games like Goat Simulator and My Friend Pedro. Then I can go back to RDO for a fresh start again.

I don't know how long RDO will last as far as keeping the player's interest with new things. How much more wild west stuff can they add?  I doubt it will outlast the popularity of GTAV Online, but I hope more good things are ahead. Personally, I continue my grind with making money and gold because I think (I hope) more big things will be added to purchase. (As I've said before, collecting is THE BEST way to make money fast!)  Give it time.....the game's only been out for a little over a year.

And, I agree the decline in activity here at the forums is unfortunate. Things happen, people move on to other things or happens. I have found Twitter to have a great RDR community and you even get to interact with some of the voice actors from the RDR2 story. Pretty cool!

Hi, punt...glad to see you stop by!

Yea, there's explosive ammo and arrows in RDO...same as the old boomstick in RDR1!  People love to grief with that, but I only use it for protection on delivery runs or while I'm doing my collectibles.  Hope you are doing well, too!

I think I remember seeing a little bedroom in the shack...but, have not checked it out myself. Kind of miffed that they messed up the collectibles spawns...that was my main source of income....but I guess they will work it out.

Got on for a little bit last night..found the revolver and started the 2nd outlaw pass. Think that's all I'll do for now.

If you buy the shack can you just do the story missions or do you have to get the moonshine business set up first?

What they need to add is private/invite only sessions!  I keep hearing hints and rumors and I hope they are true! That's THE only thing that will open up creative things to do with friends without griefers ruining your activities. The addition of Rockstar Editor to story and/or online would be great along with a good photo mode!

It's really a shame that they didn't include private sessions from the start...maybe so many people wouldn't have dropped online.

Sile, I really don't like grinding all that much either, it gets so boring after a while! All that work you have to do for the trader role...hunting, getting supplies and waiting for the product to build up only to have it destroyed in a matter of minutes by some tryhard!  I think you would like the collector role (that's my favorite) you can collect items as you go or follow a map (online). You can sell them individually or in collections. It's a really fast way to rank up and make good money with little effort! If you get shot by a griefer while doing it, they can't steal your stuff you collected.

If you have Game Pass on Xbox, they just added some new of which I downloaded last night: My Friend Pedro. It's a side scroller and I remember hearing about it on PC. I think it's $19.99 if you buy it and it's only 3 or 4 GB's. I don't really like side scrollers, but I wanted to give it a try. It's kind of arcade-y, but it's sooooo addicting and the music is pretty cool.

I know...I would love to post more...but I feel like I'm "talking" to no one...except maybe 3 or 4 still come by to read/reply. But, what are ya gonna do? It's a busy time of year right now anyways.

I appreciate you posting stuff, Ferg!  (thumbsup2)

Thought there was a topic on this there is!

Was really skeptical about getting this game due to all the mixed reviews.  So, I rented it for the weekend not too long ago and just fell in love with it!  But, I get what some are saying that it's not for everyone and you will either love it or hate it. l guess it just depends on your play style.

It's not just a Fed Ex or walking's sooo much more.  The story has me intrigued, the graphics are stunning and even though it is a single player game, you are still interacting with other players....helping each other build roads, bridges and other structures.  You can post little signs as hints or encouragement for other players to see. And the "likes" from game characters as well as other players is fun and rewarding!  Amazing game...and I've never played a game from this developer before!

I bought it through a RedBox sale for only $45...could not find it anywhere for Black Friday!
