I am most certainly looking forward to playing this. Already have Xbox Game Pass sorted for Sea of Thieves so will be ready to play this when it drops.

Do you think Rockstar will do anything at E3 in June?  Isn't that mostly for the announcement of new games? Maybe they will wait until after E3 to give us more info on RDR2. I keep checking for something new on the internet...not even any rumors.  I think it's just the calm before the storm! It's gotta be soon!

Historically there hasn't been anything huge at E3 for Rockstar titles. Mostly stuff like the PC release info etc. There was an amazing booth a few years back for Mafia III, as well as rumoured secret conferences for people within the industry. Rockstar kinda don't need to rely on the hype of E3 to get news across. They could very well release something before or a few weeks after and have the full attention of the internet gaming community.
I'm kinda hoping to hear a bit more, seeing as though they said we would hear more Soon™, but they always release things to their own schedule.

it's D Day ... go pick up your copy of Far Cry 5 ...

I have been playing far too much of this. Its pretty good.

I'm not sure who wants to see me go 3-20 in Battlefield or unskillfully stumble my way through an RPG on the lowest difficulty.

Anyway, I've been interested in Breath of the Wild too. It's times like these I really loathe console exclusivity.

I would be. I need a good laugh every now and then.

October is going to be a busy month for me. In the first half I will be needing to move out of my current place and into a new place. Hopefully get everything sorted fairly quickly so I can get back onto streaming and have no issues by the time RDR comes out. Thankfully I have got the first two weeks off work, but that means I won't have time off work when RDR2 first drops so will just need to play the hell out of it when I am not working.

I actually really enjoyed all the hunting animals and finding plants with a group. I remember when I was doing one of the challenges and I was buddied up with another 1-2 people looking for the same time of plants. We spent hours helping each other find them all.

Grab the bag and hold your own were in the last RDR game though Ferg, so it’s perfectly reasonable to think that they could also be part of the new one.

I'm pretty sure he was referring to the original question about a Battle Royale mode.

Gaming / Re: Xbox One Alpha Ring Update Re: Mixer
« on: March 05, 2018, 06:58:31 AM »
Wasn't sure where to post this.  Mixer is fairly new to most of us and I know that some of us have been testing it out.  There has been more discussion regarding streaming and trying to get people interested as we get closer to RDR2's release! I really hope we can get people together to make this happen.....hoping some older members return to the forums and/or gaming in general as well as attract new members.

Anyway, I was about to turn on my Xbox aaaand there's an update (damn alpha preview program) that's like 3.5GB!!!  I was hoping that it included the new avatars they announced last year, so I tried searching on the internet for what this new update might include and found this:

A New Level of Mixer Interactivity

Introducing a new form of Mixer interactivity: Share controller. Now Mixer streamers on Xbox One have the option of sharing their controller with a Mixer viewer who is watching through Streamers can share their entire controller (except the Xbox button) in the Xbox game they are playing, and a viewer can take control through the on-screen gamepad or by plugging a controller into their PC. Viewer and streamer can work together in the game, or the viewer can cause trouble – resulting in hilarious chaos. It's your choice!

Full article here:

This is one of the many reason I love Mixer as a platform, over say, Twitch. They are constantly thinking outside the box to make improvements to their platform to benefit streams, viewers and the wider community. Sure, some of these things might be a bit niche, such as the games which allow direct interactivity within games such as Killing Floor 2 and Hello Neighbour where viewers can choose to either help or hurt the player/streamer.

I would definitely love to be part of regular events and streaming!  Anything where I can get together with friends hopefully on Xbox!

Not too sure about the third party site. Couldn't we just use the Red Dead Forums Club on Xbox? Well, I guess I could see it being very useful for both platforms if there's a good number of players interested in doing the whole tournament/event/streaming idea.

The site is mostly for the ease of creating the tournament bracket/league table and matches etc. Rather than trying to control that myself via Excel etc. Its more for the "show" if we were to try and live stream some of the tournaments.

Does anyone have any ideas on what they would like to see for events and tournaments?

Red Dead Redemption 2 / Regular tournaments for RDR2
« on: February 27, 2018, 09:38:21 AM »
Hey guys,

How would you guys feel if we ran regular tournaments/events for RDR2? As some of you know I have also recently been exploring streaming and have really fallen in love with the streaming community, particularly on Mixer. Part of my idea would be to have some events streamed via peoples Xbox's or Playstation consoles. Specific details will have to be worked out once we know more info on RDR2.

What I want to ask is how would you guys feel if we used a third party site like to help organise the tournament brackets etc? For instance, if you to go and sign up to my "test" tournament you will see how it works. Could be a useful tool if we can ever run large scale tournaments. With the popularity of eSports booming I think there is a great opportunity for those who want to hone their skills in the new game.

Well I don’t get it. Can anyone explain why that’s supposed to be funny?

The outfit on the left is from PUBG. People who play PUBG laugh at people who play Fortnite.

Take two said there will be no battle royale mode.

Wouldn't be surprised either way to be honest. Red Dead Redemption 2 won't "need" a battle royale mode to be super popular, but if they made one I am sure it would also be quite a popular mode to play. Whatever happens I'm sure the online component will be something they will look at turning into a 5 year game similar to GTAOnline.

Every now and then we get reports that the public lobbies are glitch free. Unsure if they can be confirmed though.

Some of these screens are amazing.

I think Red Dead Online is going to be massive for them. If you just take a look at how massive GTA Online has become then you can see how much of an experience they make Red Dead Online.
