Oh, of course...I know Rockstar must have big plans for RDO and I agree, it's still early in the game and there's much more to come as far as content goes.  Deep down inside I still hope that we, as a forum....the amazing community that once was...can do the same fun things and new things again!  We just need to be more creative and come up with ideas that can keep the group entertained...maybe not for as long as RDR1 had lasted...but, as more content comes along that will allow players to do more....we can do more....together! I honestly hope we can!

I missed all that always, I'm "late to the party" on just about everything in my life. I would have given anything to join you guys when that was all happening. I was hoping that RDR2 online was going to make more history with things like that...but, unfortunately it didn't happen.

Has anyone gotten an invite for Breakpoint? They are doing some kind of technical testing this weekend and I heard that invites were sent out on Wednesday but I haven't heard anything.  I signed up for the beta and I don't know if they pick from that list or not.

If I don't get one and one of ya'll do...I'm guessing it will be thru the Ubisoft club....would you all send me an invite if they have that available like they did for the last Ghost Recon. You can invite up to 3 friends. And likewise, If I get an invite and one of you don't (whoever wants one), I will send you an invite!

Make sure you are friends with me on the Ubisoft name is LadyBlack66

Thanks in advance.

I want to be able to steal wagons and horses and have the option to keep or sell them!

It's still very early in the game....I hope they will add this in future updates!

OMG!!! That was hilarious! Thank you so much for sharing that, @TeS Arzachel !!  I've NEVER seen anyone do that!  Went to his YT channel and noticed that he like to glitch off the map, too, which is my favorite thing to do when bored! Wonder if this can be done online?

Another great YouTuber who likes to glitch into buildings and off the map is Basement Gamer Brothers!

What? After all these years??!!  YouTube can be ridiculous sometimes. Thanks to Tes and Subovon for salvaging the videos!

That's Red Dead history right there!

The duplication glitch was lagging the sessions, so I guess that would be a priority to patch that first to make the sessions and missions run smoothly. Did a few last night and they worked ok.

And unfortunately there is another carcass dupe glitch out now.

Calumet Ravine

Went here to find my level 35 peaceful and quiet. I guess no one goes up here to appreciate the beauty.

Yes, shopping spree is next...although I can't get the stuff that's rank locked.

Found out that if you are at the butcher and your horse gets scared by something or another player pushes your horse away...just bring your horse back and continue selling fish. I thought I lost all my fish because my horse ran away for some reason!

Spent most of the night doing this, played a little poker and then went back. I thought it got patched, but realized that you have to swap the fish from the left side of the horse only. Weird.  I don't bother getting 2nd horse...after catching 2nd fish I just swap at the river and then go to the butcher. Worked out pretty well and no one bothered me. Got lucky with a friendly session but soon many left and there was only 2 other players left in the lobby for a long time. Now people are doing it with cougars. I can't get a perfect coat for those, so I will stick with the fish.

I don't feel one bit guilty about doing this either! The way Rockstar is overpricing everything....they deserve it! And they have the nerve to wonder why people do these things.

That sounds too good to be true...but I'm gonna try it. How much do they sell for and did they all sell for the same amount? Can you do it with any big fish?

Red Dead Redemption was released!

Did you get caught up in any hype? Was it the same amount of hype as RDR2?

Were you a day one player or did you get the game later on?

Do you remember your first experience online?

I definitely agree that RDO has more to do than the old RDR. But the feel of it...the atmosphere it gives out is that of a battle royale and the feeling of "I gotta watch my back at all times". I am only a level 34, that's no one's fault but my own, but I just really don't enjoy RDO and there aren't enough things to do to level up...for me. There's no private session so I could do more leveling up and then go back to a public free roam. That other night was boring not because no one was being annoying...not that I wanted someone to but it was sad to see that there is no interaction and socialization like there was in the old RDR. No one invites you to their posse...seems like posse's are only reserved for friends now. I would always get posse invites from randoms in the old RDR. And I think the worst part is that you don't know where anyone is on the map until they are close to you. I don't like that.

Well, sorry to be a negative nancy once again. I am trying soooo hard to get used to this new game and every time I go back to it and make another attempt I am always disappointed and frankly disgusted with it. You just can't teach an old dog new tricks. You guys have to remember I am 52 years old..(I'm still a kid that doesn't want to grow up)  but...I don't like a lot of change and my gaming abilities are not as good as they used to be.

I do like the new story missions and will probably stick to that and chilling out with some friends playing poker. That was definitely a plus!

I didn't have such a good time last night. Defensive mode is crap. I was once again minding my own business, unarmed... and this guy thought it was funny to shoot me for no reason. I had a harder time fighting back since the aiming is whacked out when in defensive. So, hostility system is garbage. Then me and a couple of friends tried to glitch off the map to Mexico...aaaand they patched that. Hanging out in Blackwater and then to Tumbleweed, we experienced something similar to the old RDR where you can't see people/horses but you can see the blip on mini-map. Don't know if we found a bad session or something but that was definitely messed up. Seems like it's worse to me.

Only good thing to come out of this update is the least they fixed that!

I don't know what they did with all the PvP modes but I know they added another called Overrun. Maybe someone else who plays those could tell ya.

Well, I tested out free roam using the Defensive option. I was in Valentine and a few other players were there too, and no one seemed to be bothering anyone...they were just killing the townsfolk.  It was actually kinda boring...a far cry from the days of RDR1 when you rolled into town, something was always going on especially if someone started a Land Grab.  THIS is what RDO free roam is missing, sadly.

Anyway, had a good time playing poker with a friend and then we did one of the new story missions.  Later on switched over to story mode and the graphics are back to being amazing. What a difference!

Yea, I know, Ferg....I am just trying to get people to play...trying to see who's interested in doing something fun instead of PvP all the time. I would play more if I could find people that like to do the things I like to do....I was hoping to find others who felt the same way. Most friends have given up on RDO.

You PS4 people could get something going as idea is not only for Xbox. I thought I would suggest this again since the game is out of beta and we got some more content.

So, the play style you choose...offensive or defensive...isn't permanent?  In other words....another useless feature and the tryhards win!

Who would be interested in doing this either regularly or randomly? It wouldn't have to be for any particular reason either but to make it interesting there could be a set theme.  A different theme for each meet up where where we could take pictures, game clips or even do a live stream on Mixer!

Examples:  Fight club, hunting/fishing tournaments, Guarma trip (if possible), horse show (similar to car meets in GTA), fashion show (show off those outfits), boat races, get back into rooftopping, steal a train....whatever we want to do.  If nothing, for the simple joy of getting together with friends!

Any ideas? Thoughts?  Help me out and spread the word to your friends to join in too.
