LOL That's cool, Doc. Yes send if you see me. I might not always be in the mood for a battle and may just be on to play poker, etc but I do welcome the invite. Rock on!

My vote is for no Dead-eye in HC anything. Keep it real people!

Cool and this reads to be amazing! Zombie kill anyone? ;-)

This new release also brings new content to Multiplayer, with Undead Overrun, a brand new multiplayer survival mode where waves of infected enemies attack and players must work together to stay alive against increasingly difficult odds.

Red Dead DLC / Undead Nightmare
« on: October 15, 2010, 01:25:53 PM »
On October 26th, the Undead Nightmare will be unleashed upon the world of Red Dead Redemption, with an entirely new single-player storyline, as well as brand new multiplayer content.

Seemingly overnight, a zombie plague ravages the once bountiful frontier, decimating the landscape and reawakening the dead. In towns, settlements, and outposts throughout the world, the uninfected citizens are left to fight for survival against waves of the undead.  John Marston must ride out into the vast and terrifying world and survive long enough to find a cure.

With four unique zombie classes - each with their own characteristics, plus new infected predatory animals roaming the countryside, and non-traditional weaponry like the Blunderbuss - which can be loaded with looted remains of fallen zombies, the Undead Nightmare Pack offers an entirely original gameplay experience for fans of Red Dead Redemption.  Additionally, the deadly Tomahawk and the Explosive Rifle make a triumphant comeback and will be available exclusively for those who downloaded the Legends and Killers Pack and the Liars and Cheats Pack.

The all new single-player narrative features new challenges, quests, and ambient events, including Missing Persons, where the player must find a missing survivor lost amongst the throngs of undead.  This new release also brings new content to Multiplayer, with Undead Overrun, a brand new multiplayer survival mode where waves of infected enemies attack and players must work together to stay alive against increasingly difficult odds.

The Undead Nightmare Pack will be available for download from Xbox LIVE (800 Microsoft Points) and PlayStation Network ($9.99) and requires a copy of Red Dead Redemption to play.  Also coming soon, Undead Nightmare, a single, stand-alone disc that bundles together for the first time ever, the Undead Nightmare Pack, the Outlaws to the End Co-Op Mission Pack, the Legends and Killers Pack, the Liars and Cheats Pack and all the Multiplayer Free Roam modes released to date.  Undead Nightmare will be available at retail stores everywhere for $29.99/£24.99/€29.99 and does not require a copy of Red Dead Redemption to play.

But with that said ;-) R* does try to cater to all and we should be grateful. We have Causal mode, Hardcore, Private and soon, Friendly.

Yes. I shot a dude that was attacking a woman. This happen in Mexico. It was the same deal you always see outside of the Armadillo saloon. I got a bounty for it. WTH?

"As I said above, it takes more skill to kill in hardcore, yes, but LESS skill to stay alive..."

I must have missed that line in your post. I agree fully with that statement.

Football time!

I like the lobby concept very much.

I see the side of the coin you are talking about and it does make sense to me now.

Thank you,

So what's the latest? Save me from reading 6 pages and childish "your Mother" comments. Is the new safe roam a type of game lobby we will all go into before we choose our next move? Sounds good if it is.

"Casual/normal takes more thought and situational awareness..."

How in the world could that be true? More thought? Your aim will lock on to me and follow me around like a heat-seeking missile and will remain as such until one of us is taking down. Situational awareness? You have large overhead name-tags and radar showing you the situation. Perhaps you feel this to be true because they are more players in casual mode? I am not trying to be rude. I simply can not agree.

Best,

Let's not forget that in HC, you do not have the aid of locating your enemy via a Los Vegas sized sign over their heads. That alone makes it a touch more challenging. In any case, just have fun and enjoy the game :-)

It's all very simple. Go ahead and play a gang hideout using hardcore. You will see that it takes twice as long and it is not as easy. Why? Because you do not have auto-aim locking onto the enemy. You have to control your aim as if it was a real gun. You can no longer just L2 in the general direction of the NPC. You can't "lock on" to the NPC, no matter where the NPC is or is going. You can't flick up to get an instant head shot, etc etc.

Personally, I have no issue with any mode of play as long as the players are honest but please do not try to sell us that auto-aim is just as easy vs. hardcore. It is not. Hence why it is indeed called, "Hardcore!"

Does that mean that all hardcore players are better than casual players? No. Of course not. Honestly, just go do a hangout via HC. It's a great deal of fun because you have to think about your shots.

"And if auto-aim were a great leveler, then how come it's not level in casual mode?"

The player locked on to you first.
The player used a better weapon.
There could be an issue of lag time.

I bailed early because I was pretty upset with a player in one match. Not a name I know from this forum. He killed 3 of us back to back and while he was killing the other 2, I put 3 rounds in his head. I could see the blood and hear the grunts. He spun around and killed me with one shot. Hmm?

In any case, I want to thank Doc for sending the invite to me. Maybe I'll have better luck next time. Just wasn't in the mood to deal. LOL
