Multiplayer General Discussion / RE: Hardcore Wars (XBL)
« on: October 08, 2010, 12:35:08 PM »
Whenever I read something like "ruthless" and "Gangster", I envision a group of 16 year olds, calling each other bitches whilst having one finger on the lag switch or, it's a group that prowls the roam and shoots anything that moves. I play as a Lawman/Marshall or US Army. I'm a good guy. Not a gangster.

Yes, I know now that it is just a tag line used by the good Doctor :-)

"What did I read in ruthless?"
Not sure I understand the question, Doc.

"The Undead Nightmare will be a separate experience launched from the Main Menu.  It will not alter or change the regular single player whatsoever."

"There is some great new multiplayer as part of Undead Nightmare!"

R* RULES! This is going to be a great deal of fun, IMO!

OT: Not a fan of modern warfare anything though I did have a blast with BC2. I love historical shooters. There is a rumor that GearBox will finish the Brothers in Arms series but I'm not holding my breath.

I am with Blazed on this one. HC matches my style of play and I feel like I have earned the kill and/or deserved the death. If that makes sense to anyone here.

You guys went from, "Ruthless Gangsters" to "Friendly players" - which is it? The ruthless stuff kept me from joining.

I wonder if the OP showed the same sympathy toward the players he was cheating against, as he is now asking from R* and this forum? Simply pathetic!

Hints, Tips, Guides and Walkthroughs / Basic Question

I just want to be sure that I am playing correctly. Last night I did Mexican Caesar. After it was completed, the next mission was clear across the other side of the map. Why does it do that? LOL

The idea is to ride to each mission that pops up on the map until you have completed them all, right?

Multiplayer General Discussion / RE: Casual FFA
« on: October 05, 2010, 10:23:28 AM »
Thank you, OldBill.

Personally speaking, I would avoid this game mode like the plague. We all understand how easy it is to make a kill using casual aim. We all understand that casual aim will lock on to your enemy and follow him/her around. We all understand that no one can hide or, stalk due to silly Los Vegas sized signs over our heads.

Many here agree that not being killed (due to all of the above) is harder then killing in this game mode. So, for me, when I see a player who goes 25 and 0 in Casual Free for All, I have to shake my head and wonder if this player is not employing a helping hand. Sure, there are amazing and legit players out there but such a score insults the math. How can you encounter 25 enemies and not once be shot when they too can lock on to you and see you a mile away?

IMO, Casual mode is where you have the best chance of dealing with such oddities!

Multiplayer General Discussion / RE: Why no benefit to hardcore?

Well said! I cannot stand normal mode and the 'no skill to kill' kiddies. I know my statement is painting with a very broad brush and I apologize but for the most part, that is what I encounter when going out side of hardcore. In addition, I just don't understand the fun in auto aiming. Normal aim is not as bad. At least there is a 2 second cut off.

I could not agree more with, Dayle. Well said!

I spent 4 hours at the poker table last night and had a blast. It was a full table with mature players. Everyone had a mic. Win or lose, no one really cared. It was more about enjoying the game, the conversation and the overall atmosphere. Rock * rules! Thank you for brining poker to the MP game.

Here's a picture of some of MY role playing friends. Think you have the guts to break up their game?

I guess I have to display the obvious ... your name ID is Samurai"Gangsta". Let me explain something to you. We are all in simulation. That's what a video game is. If anyone has the right to talk tough, it would be the guy who actually rides horses and shoots guns. Nevertheless, mind your business and allow others to enjoy their game. You have no right to call others losers for playing the very same game you claim to be so great at. My advice to you is to grow up some more.

Let me guess. While you were acting the part of a bad ass, you were using casual aim? You chime in to this thread with your school boy spelling and mind set and you are making fun of and disrupting people doing their own thing? I wonder how much your life "seriously sucks" to have to role play a "Gangsta". For the record, I am not sure how many real-world gangsters play video games. My guess is that you are no more than 16 years old and live with your Mommy and Daddy. Very "Gangsta!" Grow the hell up already!

ps. Remove dead-eye. Add that to the list.
